    Very subtle restaurant with an amazing view. We had a great table with an outstanding open view of Chavon River and all the nature surrounding Altos de Chavon. Service was attentive and kind. Food was good, not superb but I would definitely go back and recommend it to my friends

    I booked a birthday dinner way in advance which I was looking forward too. Everything was confirmed via email. Once I got to the place I was sent to reception and only then was told " they do not accept outsiders, you must have a room with them in other to dine" You could imagine my disappointment as a tourist, on her special day! How can a restaurant have a very public, open forum to book and accept reservations online, with no disclaimer stating that, I needed to be staying on property? Not even a room number was requested when booking. This was not only disappointing but they were also no help going back and forth saying the restaurant needs to confirm and the restaurant saying vice versa- it was a joke!! I had no idea that this was a part of a hotel. The restaurant came up on my search online as we were planning our trip to DR. DO BETTER!!!

    This is not the restaurant I recall from 18-24 months ago. The service was average and uniformed about the drinks and food menu items. Ordering was slow, and food service was as well. The drinks are average—the calamari, ceviche, and burrata are average or stale. The main entry, the suckling pig, left much to be desired. We did not order dessert. The restaurant is full of cats so I won't be returning or recommending this restaurant as I did in the past.

    The service was absolutely horrendous. The restaurant was at most 50% capacity, and it took our party nearly an an hour and a half to place appetizer orders and an additional 30 minutes to place entree orders. The restaurant had no dinner napkins and was only able to offer paper cocktail napkins for our meals. We sat down at a table with no place settings nor utensils. In the summer heat of the Caribbean, this restaurant had no white wine and only one bottle of a 16oz coke. The logic and common sense of the wait staff was lacking. For example, if one finished their glass of water, instead of asking if they wanted to refill, the staff would simply take away the empty glass and not bring a new one. Then it would be another 30 minutes to get a new one. Upon voicing our complaints to the manager, the wait staff thanked us and informed us that these issues are an every day occurrence. After raising such concerns to the manager, nearly 2 hours after our arrival, the waitress, then came back and asked one of our party members what his order was. The wait staff also mentioned that they have raised these concerns to management, but management is blind and deaf to these issues. I have never had such a poor dining experience in the over 40 years I have been visiting Casa de Campo. This restaurant does not deserve the privilege of being at such an exclusive resort.

    We sat in many things weren’t available, very limited drink menu, and the waitress didn’t know a lick of English!

    The worst service ever we wait more than one hour for a waiter to take the order we ask for two different types of wine they didn’t have it and the third that we ask they never bring it when we ask they said they forgot to tell us that they didn’t have it either food never came out and we end leaving this place
