Located just opposite the Jean-Talon Market, the Alep restaurant was opened in 1976. With a menu of Middle Eastern flavors based on the great classics of traditional Syrian and Armenian cuisine, this family restaurant will certainly take your taste buds on a journey.     It was a good restaurant - I would still recommend it. It wasn't what we expected. While the waiters and sommelier were very friendly, service was slower and slightly under par with what you would expect in terms of attention to clientele and awareness of the quality of service. Things like no glasses when they served us sparkling water, and they didn't refill our glasses, both water and wine. When the bottle was finished, we weren't serviced for more or alternative options. Just took the empty bottle and left. They did provide better service with our food order. They recommended how to space our dish. Overall - 3.8 stars

    Service was impeccable. Sommelier picked a great matching Alsace wine and food was incredible. Restaurant was a touch of the loud side, but the screens between tables minimise the sound.

    Notre serveur Emmanuel nous as proposé le menu gastronomique et quel bon choix ! Nous avons pu goûter à plusieurs mets délicieux qui ont été complimenté par les excellents choix de vin du sommelier. Le service était amical et attentionné avec une connaissance approfondie du menu. Nous recommandons fortement ce restaurant et nous reviendrons à coup sur.
