   We made reservations somewhat at the last minute. The dinner and the dinner service was great, but our opening experience was a bit of a mixed bag. We arrived at the restaurant early and asked if we could have our table early. The lady at the front desk was quite rude and dismissive. Rather than saying something like, “I’m sorry, the table is not ready early, can we entice you to perhaps have a cocktail at the bar” or something inviting like that, she was simply not kind. We went to the bar. The bar was good, but Alexander’s has changed its bar experience where while they have a happy hour menu, they don’t have bar snacks and you can’t order bread service or something simple like fries. It was kind of disappointing. However, the dinner service and the sommelier were terrific once we were seated. The steak was perfectly cooked and the waiter did an excellent job explaining the various ways the menu could be used (to create sharing plates, individual entrees, etc). We had an enjoyable dinner.

   Had the A5 Wagyu Shiga and it was worth it. It was my first time having Japanese Wagyu and it melts in your mouth like butter. It pairs with horse radish to cut the fat and comes with 1 sea salt from California and 1 smoked sea salt. The 24oz porterhouse was cooked nicely but I’ve had better. We got the broccolini which was charred with charcoal flavor, delicious. Carbonaro with truffles was very heavy and all I needed was a few bites, very tasty and cheesy. The XO fried rice was heavy and scalloped flavored, also tasty. The milk bread was nice with 3 types of butter. My favorite was the sesame butter. The gentlemen face us a tour and showed us the liquor collection downstairs usually for private parties.

   The young gentleman, who recently had a child, was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! His attention to detail was GREAT!!! Im sorry i forgot him name but he wore a really nice red hankerchief on his suit jacket. He was amazing and I would go back for his great service.

   We had the loviest anniversary dinner. The ambiance and service is absolute top tier. We were so spoiled from the welcome at the door to the end of our dining experience. The food is delicious. If we come back to San Francisco, we will definitely visit again.

   Have been here multiple times….and every time, the food is superb, the service unmatched and though the prices are relatively high the value is tangible. Certainly above all industry average. I will continue to support this fine establishment….

   Patrick was fantastic and made us feel special and “at home”, as he said he aimed. Beautiful space, good food, and a classy vibe without the arrogance of a “stereotypical steakhouse”.

   My experience at Alexander’s was outstanding in every respect. Our server Robby was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and was able to help us make our decision, and the service from the entire staff was second to none. I truly felt like a valued guest during my dinner, and never once was a need I had not instantly met. As for the food, the Hokkaido wagyu was unbelievable, and paired with the Shiga Omi wagyu was a wonderful way to get a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth steak along with something so unique and special. I highly, highly recommend others choose Alexander’s as the location for a steakhouse experience like no other. Thank you to Robby and the team for helping my wife and I celebrate our special occasion with quality service and food!

    Our dinner host was helpful throughout the night and when i had questions about the wine he brought in an expert. Food and wine 10/10 Service and staff 11/10
