Kramerbooks & Afterwords Cafe, opened in 1976, was the first Bookstore/Cafe in the country to feature Dinner, Lunch, Breakfast, Brunch & Late Supper as well as offering complete bar service, 18 drafts and wine by the glass and bottle. Enjoyed a delicious dinner after browsing through the bookstore. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was so good. The chicken sandwich was very tasty as well.

Waitress was very helpful in recommending her favorite dishes ( at our request), we started with crab deviled eggs followed by the fettuccine (excellent) and the chicken pot pie. Wow, was it good! Highly recommend this wonderful cafe hooked to a great bookstore.

It was my first time back to Kramers in over 20 years and it did not disappoint! I loved my Mediterranean Hummus bowl and my husband loved his steak salad. The goober pie was delicious. Can’t wait to come back for brunch!

Tiny table with large plates = a "2 person table" is sincerely too small for 2 people. Just drinks? Just fine. Actual food that comes with a salad, etc., I had to hold the wide salad bowl while eating as there was no room on the table for it. Or space out the salads from the mains--that's a super easy fix. I also did ask for a reasonable table, but was given one at the bottom middle--minor, but irritating, considering I really was hoping to share a more dynamic experience with being somewhat in-between the bookstore and the restaurant. Food was quite good and plentiful! Crab deviled eggs 5/5 Mushroom lasagna 5/5 (a bit spicy = a lovely touch) Goddress Greens 4/5 The Soho Omelette looked basic to me, but I didn't eat any of it.

Great food. The crispy sprouts were fabulous and our mains were generous and delicious. Staff were very professional and welcoming. Overall, ambience was very cosy and warm. Having a bookshop with a restaurant inside is simply genious! We only gave 4 stars due to the lack of beer when we visited. Nothing was available on draft and bottles/cans were limited to one IPA. Otherwise, a great experience and we will return!
