   I love this restaurant but on Valentine’s Day they did not read my OpenTable reservation note so it was not completed even though I didn’t call to remind them I had assumed they would take a look at that. Food was delicious server very nice wish our request would have been completed

   Armando is so attentive and super charming, so refreshing to have a manager that is hands on and so friendly…. Feels like a lost art these days. Xander was also awesome and gave us some great recs for food and was on top of it all night. Food was delicious and atmosphere was fun.

   Armando! Armando! Armando! Utterly sensational! If I were a restaurant owner, I would swiftly hire you and triple your salary to run the show! Armando embodies the epitome of customer service dreams – a true gem in the dining industry. As an avid globe-trotter whose travel itinerary revolves around must-visit restaurants, I have never encountered such genuine and enthusiastic hospitality vibes outside my family circle. Armando, you possess a true gift – do not underestimate it! From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, Armando greeted us by our names as listed on our reservation. He seamlessly rearranged the entire table to accommodate our son, who joined us last minute when our babysitter fell through. Armando's attention to detail was impeccable; he even noticed our son was cold and brought a blanket over unsolicited. This was meant to be my birthday dinner, but we were so captivated by Armando's professionalism and service that we forgot to mention it. I have dined in Michelin-starred restaurants that do not hold a candle to the energy and exactitude displayed by Armando. And let's not forget dessert – a complete spectacle crafted by Armando, accompanied by the best dessert drinks. The food was exceptional, but the true experience was elevated by the impeccable service provided. I cannot wait to share my remarkable dining experience with my entire office come morning. I must also mention our waiter, Romel, a polite and soft-spoken young man who tended to our needs with great care and a positive attitude.    Everything was tasty but food and drinks were way overpriced for what they were (basic Mexican food that can be obtained all over the city for much cheaper). Servers were friendly and attentive but continually tried to upsell (Do you want a single drink for $27 or a double for $54? How about ordering 2 of everything? Bottled water? and so on). Atmosphere (upper outside balcony) was lively and fun. We were looking for a new go-to place for fun Mexican food but this isn't it. Will keep looking.

   Overall, Alma was very good, and had great ambiance and a good variety of menu items. Sitting on the upstairs patio, we had an amazing view of the Grove Plaza below--and at this time, the Christmas decorations and "snow." My chicken mole enchiladas were great, and we loved the churro dessert. I highly recommend it if you are at the Grove or looking for a upscale Mexican restaurant.

    Drinks were slow overall. Beer arrived totally warm. Food wasn’t hot. Plates had residue on them. Food delivery to wrong tables around us twice. Overall very average experience at best for a high priced dinner. Ambience was nice and food is good but should be hot!
