   The service was better than the food - attentive and read social ques. The menu is very lack lustre. I expected more. I've been to upscale cafeteria's in Europe that had more ambience, more selection and overall offered better value. I think Alobar leverages the Alo name and brand. Its a wasted opportunity to do so much more. I won't be revisiting for business or pleasure. And I'd need a lot of convincing to go to any Alo branded restaurants. Toronto has such an amazing selection of restaurants, there are many others worth exploring.

   Good but unfortunately very salty overall! Had a couple apps and a pasta each, and the salt was the main taste

   We arrived for on time for our reservation, but there seemed to be some confusion about where we would be seated for several minutes. We were sat at the bar, not a huge issue, but there was no indication it would be bar seating when booking and I had expected a table. We are ok with bar seating so no real issue and it was comfortable. The bar area is not particularly special and the lighting is a bit cold. Service was good, the initial bar tender didn’t really seem very interested, but the chap who ultimately served us was very attentive and pleasant. The food was on point, highlights were the charred hamachi and A5 Wagyu, both amazing and would order again. Overall a very good experience with a few minor comments, but that would not stop us visiting again soon.

   Food and ambiance are always great at Alobar. The service is fantastic. There seems to be a bit confusion with reservation in the beginning but is just a small hiccup. Overall experience is very pleasant

   I’m a big fan of the Alo chain. I’m the end, my favorite is the Alobar chain. It offers the same amazing quality of food, with great ambiance and amazing cocktails. And the service is always amazing! The new downtown location is also excellent, with a bit more steaks as part of the menu compared to the yorkville location. Really enjoyed it and have been here 3 times since last fall, 2 larger groups (10-12) and once with a smaller group. Always great service and caters to the clients.

   Great experience. Food was on point. Everything tasty and cooked perfectly. Drinks were good, but I did find my martini was good, but not as good as I would normally expect. Overall, a great experience. Would definitely return.
