   Service was lacking. My friend ordered a glass of dealcoholized Chardonnay and we had to remind 3 different people for it. One brought the glass. Another got the waiter. The third person came and brought the wrong chardonnay (with alcohol). Thankfully I read the bottle after my friend already tasted it. They finally brought it. This was by the time we already had our main dish... I don't know who was our server as we probably saw 4 different people. It took really long to be attended to. Took even longer to get the bill. My new York steak was delicious though. Mushrooms and broccolini were good too. The food was the only saving thing from this experience

   Showed up with a miscalculated reservation 4 people to 6. Staff uninterested in helping solve. Seemed like we were a nuisance as a small corporate group. Financial service firm who would use for lunches/cocktails. It probably doesn’t matter but we would unlikely to return. Cocktails okay. Ambience good. Staff hospitality not good.

   Went to Alobar for dinner before a show at Scotiabank Arena. The whole experience was amazing, with our meal being the star. We will definitely be back.

   Great salads, seafood and STEAKS! Disappointed they do not have Cesar drinks though… simple add to the drink menu!

   The beet salad and sirloin were great! Duck was crispy but the accompanying pasta lacked a bit of flavour for me. The bread was a bit hard which was a shame because it’s always been perfect other times I have come (perhaps just an off night). Our waitress was wonderful as well as the other staff ❤️

    The food was very nice. The biggest problem was the service. No sooner than we received our drinks than dinner was served. We felt very rushed. This was a special occasion meal and we were in-and-out in an hour. Not the way to serve at an upscale restaurant. Disappointed.
