    I have been to most of the other Alo locations but this was my first time dining at Alobar Yorkville and frankly it was underwhelming. Service was extremely slow so it took quite a while to place our order and for food to then arrive. We were seated at the bar and not a table so it was a bit disconcerting to be approached by the hostess and informed that the next guests were arriving so we needed to finish up and leave; then having a server hover over us and then shove the bill and credit card machine in front of us. Not a good look for what is supposed to be a 'high end' establishment. I likely won't ever return.

    The service was impeccable and we never felt rushed. The ravioli with light cream sauce was outstanding as well as the New Brunswick oysters served with shaved horseradish. The drinks were equally outstanding. This restaurant has tremendous attention to detail.

    A tremendous dinner — excellent food and service from start to finish. Impressive flavour combinations, equally impressive quality of components, amplified by attentive and warm service. Will be adding Alobar to my regular rotation. Highly recommended!
