   My second visit. Unfortunately we were seated too closely to a very large party placed in the middle of the room. We were so close that the server literally could not squeeze between our tables at one point to service yet a third table. The large party was, predictably, noisy, not helped by the fact that one diner at the table angled his chair toward his immediately adjacent seat mate. When he did this, his mouth was positioned next to my ear such that I could no longer hear the conversation at my own table. We left before dessert because it had become so uncomfortable. My meal was delicious, however.

   This might be my new favorite restaurant in San Francisco. The food was delicious and beautiful. The staff was super friendly. The restaurant is super chic and sexy and also has a fun vibe. Can't wait to go back.

   We sat for 25 minutes and no one even asked if we wanted water! When I told the host, he said, “ I’m sorry” but did not offer to remedy the situation. Shocking! We left. We also found the restaurant noisy despite not being that full thus making it unpleasant to converse. I can’t comment on the food as we never got that far. I doubt I’d go back- too many places that know how to function in regards to customer service.

   I’ve been here several times, but this time the music was pretty loud. My company and I had a hard time hearing each other for the duration of the meal. The portion for the agnolotti also seemed small for the price.

   The only reason I gave good marks instead of excellent is because we were unable to eat there was their closure due to the Tsunami warning in SF Bay Dec 5. I hope they will understand why I was not there. I love the place and look forward to eating at it in the near future.

   This was our first time experience dining at Alora. I just came across Alora from Instagram. I like Mediterranean food so we ended celebrating my birthday dinner at Alora tonight. We were welcomed by the host and got a nice indoor table. The dining room was elegant looking, the chandeliers were hanging beautifully, the service was superb and the Mediterranean food was delicious and delectable. Carl, who was our server, was very pleasant to talk with. The kitchen is in the separate building but across the actual restaurant. Since this was our first time at the restaurant, we asked Carl his recommendation from the menu. We had a bottle of Cabernet Franc 2020 and it was delicious. For appetizers, we ordered tahini hummus, eggplant & muhammara & bread. For the main course to share, we had Izgara & Forno with 2 side dishes of roasted vegetables & roasted golden potatoes. I had a complimentary pear sorbet with a candle. We ordered the spicy chocolate cake for dessert. We stayed about 2.5 hours in the restaurant since it was Monday and quiet. We told the server and host that we will return and even come back with friends. I recommend Alora for fine dining like a date or special occasion or business lunch.

   The menu is unique and very tasty with combinations if flavors that you can’t imagine working together but do to create very delicious, savory dishes. The staff is attentive without being overbearing and accommodating without complaint. And their recommendation never fail

    We requested the patio because we prefer at least SOME fresh air for health protection. They need more ventilation when the sides are closed.
