Food tasted great, bar/restaurant was very nicely decorated. Great service. We’ve only ever been to the bar in downers Grove so it was nice to have an option with food. Will be back.

Food was okay. Good selection. However, Not very many grilled options. Mostly fried. Up charge of 3% for using credit card. Also, there was a selection of sides with your main entree, I chose salad, and then was charged extra for it. I did not catch that until I looked at the receipt after getting home.

Fantastic food and beer! Many choices won't leave you wondering what to eat or drink. Great large screen TV for premier event viewing. Highly recommend.

It was so loud we couldn’t hear each other talking. Our server was great. We have been to the location in St. Charles and had the rueben sandwich so was disappointed that the corned beef wasn’t the same as the other location. Oak Brook shreds the corned beef and it ended making it a mushy consistency with the sauerkraut and dressing. Also didn’t know the prices of the beers. It would make a difference when ordering. We will stick with the St. Charles location.

Love this place but I feel forced to give less one star because on the evening we visited Alter the service was so disappointing. We sat at the bar and the bartender seemed lost and couldn’t remember our order even asking us several times what we wanted. He disappeared frequently for long periods of time which left us waiting for drinks and our food. When our food finally did arrive, only half our order was delivered. Sadly, we were so frustrated we closed our bill and went to another place to eat. I will say though that the food we did receive (flatbread pizza and truffle fries) was delicious.
