An authentic but unique Milano gourmet pizza, a special dough recipe, an innovative pizza-making process, high-quality Italian ingredients, a holistic approach to the food and beverage world, a focus on sustainable agriculture and farming, along with a deep love for Milano, where Andrea, Giacomo, and Luca grew up, and for San Diego, where they studied, worked and became who they are now. These are some of the concepts that make up the Ambrogio15 project. The idea was born in both Milano and San Diego, in the minds and the hearts of three young Italian guys who decided to leave the corporate world to begin a new adventure of passion, friendship, and a bit of foolishness.

    Our dining room features an exposition kitchen where customers can watch their pizzas being made and a contemporary fast-paced/exciting traditional Milano-style; ambiance. Our flexible menu includes paper-thin pizza (made for one adult), gourmet focaccias , salads, appetizers, cold cut meat and cheese boards, and homemade desserts. We use imported stone ground ,GMO free, Italian flour produced without herbicides/pesticides. In addition to our flour we also import all of our meats and cheeses to provide the dinner with the most authentic "Milano-Style" pizza experience.

                                                                                            Pizza took an hour and when it came out it was cold as if it had been sitting out for 10 minutes. They remade it in about 10 minutes and it was very good. At the end the server apologized for the wait and cold pizza and offered to comp the water.

                                                                                            The food, ambiance, and servers are great. We love the place. After making a reservation weeks in advance, we were a little disappointed about being sat outside on a chilly and windy night. The warmers were decent at keeping us warm. But I think they should consider giving those that book in advance preference of the best seating location (outside vs inside). Update: The restaurant kindly reached out to me to clarify the misunderstanding and offered a nice bottle of wine for the next visit. I absolutely appreciate them caring enough reaching out and try to make things right.

                                                                                            Great service, really appreciate the staff. This is our regular weekly spot for a reasonably priced high quality pizza & salads in a cool atmosphere. Feels casual but special and authentic at the same time. Even for Valentine’s Day, it was nice normal menu with a few specials, not a bad prefix like many others. Please support to keep this place thriving!!

                                                                                            As always Ambrosio 15’s staff is amazing. Very warm and professional. The pizza, breads and salads are incredible. We really appreciate the change to add specials every night including meats and pastas. Great neighborhood restaurant with authentic and elevated food. Feels special every time. Casual & comfortable but still feels upscale. Perfect for friends, date, family, etc. A little slice of Milan @ beach,

                                                                                            If you get a chance to attend one of their special dinners, take it. Not only is the value great but the food was phenomenal. We enjoyed a four course meal and wine tasting of four flights of Roman wines for $89 a person I don’t think you’ll find that value anywhere else in San Diego and definitely worth a lot more than that. The food was spectacular starting with a Parmesan rice, tomato appetizer, followed by a gnocchi, then a Saltimbocca, and a delicious dessert .

                                                                                            The chef prepare a 4 course wine dinner that was fantastic. The wine pairings were acceptable with some wines more to our liking than others, but it was a good opportunity to expand our wine experiences.

                                                                                            Ambrogio has a new chef from Rome. He was the chef at a restaurant in La Jolla which has now closed. (?) This meal was a demonstration of his skill. Neither my wife nor I liked the food, which we considered poorly conceived and executed. We have eaten in Rome for decades.

                                                                                            We've been looking for a new spot that checks all the boxes for authentic pizza, and this one does it. Perfect thin crust and great ingredients, and the rosemary on our spicy salami pizza was a great touch. Loved seeing Buffalo mozzarella on the menu, too. As more people sat down, the noise level definitely increased as it is small inside. But overall, we enjoyed our experience here and will definitely come back.
