   We went to Amchur for Mother’s Day 2025. We decided on this restaurant based on the reviews. However, Amchur fell short of our expectations. We ordered 3 dishes, 2 different Chicken ones and a Paneer one and all three tasted the same. I wanted to order the fish dish only to be informed that they no longer do it. We ordered a lamb dish from the starter menu and requested it as a main only to be given it as a starter but charged as a main. What the owners did not realise was that we were sat near the bar and could see ALL the food going to the other tables. We decide not to get starters, which was frowned upon. This is the third time we have experienced this at an Indian restaurant. When the bill arrived it was wrong. Overall a mediocre experience. We won’t be visiting again and do not recommend this restaurant. Plus parking is limited outside the restaurant to about four cars. Not good.

On Mother’s Day, our 72-seat restaurant was fully booked, showing the loyalty and trust of our guests. Each dish is individually prepared with distinct herbs and spices, so they do not taste the same. We continue to offer seafood, including our popular Amchur Himalayan King Prawn Curry.    As ever a delight to eat at Amchur, we live about an hour away but the journey is worth it for the quality and wide choice of lovely food plus wonderful service. Somewhere we will continue to visit regularly.

   Best Indian food we’ve had in a long time! Excellent service and generous portions but good value for money with it. We had read great reviews for this restaurant and although it was a quiet January night it did not disappoint.

   We visited Amchur to celebrate our anniversary - and were delighted with the whole occasion. A lovely touch to be greeted by a card and small decorations. The food was all absolutely lovely - a good test was something as 'basic' as onion bhajis - they were obviously very freshly made. Main courses were fabulous, and the staff were very attentive. We will be back, for sure!

   Excellent food, the staff were friendly and thoughtful and probably the best meal out we have had in a very long time. The location is beautiful too

   Not only is the food amazing, but the service is outstanding too. All the staff went out of their way to make the evening special for us, right down to the chef himself. We were celebrating my cousins birthday, and they even decorated the table and gave her a birthday card - very thoughtful. The food is delicious and value for money. We will definitely be back!

    Friend was over from the USA for work and loves Indian food so I thought we would take a gamble on this place. Boy was I lucky I did. We were extremely early but they were happy to give us a table. The food was incredible, portions generous, service impeccable and the price was reasonable. My friend is just upset he won’t be able to enjoy the food he previously thought was good when he gets home Lovely, strongly recommended
