Owner Felicia Wilson and Chef Partner Darryl Harmon, who hails from Gouldstown, NJ in Cumberland County, which is considered the oldest black community in the U.S., is an award-winning chef for The Lure Group in New York City. He previously served as the Executive Chef at the Water Works Restaurant in Philadelphia between 2007 and 2012.

    The food was delicious and beautifully plated. The staff was charming and professional. The music was a little loud for conversation and our server turned it down when we asked, making the ambiance perfect for conversation and relaxation.

    So I got the crabcakes and crab fried rice. Which was Crabcake and crab fried rice with a snow crab cluster. Everything was good. Was a little confused when the food came out because I thought it was multiple crab cakes and didn’t see anything about the clusterl. They were market priced at $65. My wife got the Lambchops. They were ok. No seasoning, had a sauce that was really sweet like a jelly so it didn’t really go with the lam chops. But the sauce was more so around and not on them(but that was just another thing taking away from them having flavor). They were on a bed of mixed vegetables that were good. They were priced at $50 We had the cheesesteak beignets and peri peri wings. Beignets were really good. The cheesesteak filling was everything, they were just a little soft. Soft was good to eat but not to pick up. Might be better to eat them with a fork. Wings were good regular spicy sweet wings. Had Mac cabbage and collards on the side. Mac was really good. Told them no Doritos crust. Cabbage and collards weren’t seasoned. I would choose the collards though because the cabbage had a spice like black pepper but no salt. Drinks were trash and one was a suggested favorite. I got the warrior princess. It had too much seltzer that made it taste like a champagne with hardly any flavor. As far as the service, we had a somewhat bad experience with the service. Had to wait and extra 30 mins to be seated in a tight entry area even with a reservation. They said the website let everyone overbook. And there was only one waitress/hostess for the entire place. Her professionalism and service was what made the experience better. She handled the circumstances well! Ambiance was 10 out of 10! Most beautiful uniquely detailed restaurant I’ve ever been in. Everything came up to $280 with gratuity, ended up spending $300 with added tip for 2 with a not so good experience.

    The food is very good and our waiter was very good except she was overwhelmed. The placed was booked at capacity and there was only one person acting as the host, waiter and cleaning the tables. Meanwhile there were two people serving the bar. I’m writing this in the hopes the owner/manager realizes that one person is not enough. Our food was served and we had no water at the table. I had to ask the person who brought us the food from the kitchen to please bring water. My drink took even longer. Couldn’t one of bartenders had delivered it?

    The servers were very nice and they had good vibes. But otherwise the food was very mediocre, the drinks were not very potent and the overall ambience left something to be desired. Also at one point, a cook/bartender came over to the table and took my empty cup away, which was nice. But he said “thanks, we’re running low on glasses so we need it”. And that was incredibly unprofessional. Not coming back. But the people who worked there were very nice.

    The ambiance is amazing and food was pretty decent. The seating was too close together so you constantly have people bumping into you. Some items were definitely better than others. The pan seared scallops were AMAZING but they only give you 2 for $18!! Overall it’s pretty good for a night out with friends.
