ANCESTRAL fundado en 2017 a cargo del Chef Miguel Mijangos, se encuentra ubicado en el emblemático Barrio de Xochimilco en la Ciudad de Oaxaca.
Nuestra pasión es resaltar las tradiciones y costumbres de Oaxaca a través de su gastronomía, la mezcla de ingredientes locales en nuestra cocina de humo genera aromas y sabores excepcionales que son el pretexto perfecto para estimular los sentidos.
El acueducto construido a mediados del siglo XVIII, las construcciones en adobe y nuestro verde jardín al aire libre forman parte de una increíble experiencia.

Ancestral is one of the must Restaurants to visit while in Oaxaca. The open kitchen with an open flame grill and authentic tortilla station brings that rustic flavor that enhances the taste of Oaxacan food. Loved all the various Moles. The Almond mole with the Pork was especially yummy. Furthermore, we had two sharing plates that we as a group of four couldn't get enough of: the Banana 'fritter like' things, and the Potato and Chorizo croquettes. Both great bites. Now the room. It is outdoors and the ambiance is what I would expect a Oaxacan kitchen and outdoor space to look like if this were part of a large house or hacienda. Don't miss it.

Pésima experiencia, servicio inadecuado, camareros que confunden los platos, juntando todos los platos, que pena el chef, excelente comida, me pregunto cómo puede conseguir premios con tan pésimo servicio. Los camareros se rieron y se equivocaron en casi todos los platos.

The chorizo inside the torta was frozen and they did not accepted their mistake. Other dishes were average . The ambient was nice
