Unfortunately we did not have the best experience at Andies. Many people have been raving on about a ‘new top restaurant on the block’ but it was far from it. The staff were fine, apart from the fact I almost wasn’t able to bring my new borns pram inside. I was told to shove the pram in the corner and I refused as my baby needed to sleep. The staff member made a table change after I insisted I need the pram and couldn’t hold the baby the whole time. No highchairs for toddlers. It was an uncomfortable dining experience as the whole time we were there, there were flys everywhere. We spent more time waving the flies away than actually eating and enjoying the company. There needs to be more thought put into it as it’s extremely unhygienic when a fly lands on your food, in the kitchen and on workplace benches. I spoke to a waiter and she said they are looking at ways to improve and adding ‘plants’ to limit flys. Unfortunately this will not work. There needs to be fans and other methods. You’re also paying a fair amount of money dining here - so this is the last thing you’d expect. I understand that it is nature, however not when you’re dining at what’s supposed to be a higher class restaurant. There was no market fish available - so limited to customers. Starters were fine - delicious in fact! Main meals were very very average and small servings. I can’t justify coming back… unfortunately. Wishing Andies the best.

Hi the food was good, decor was nice but there was no atmosphere there was no music, why? There was soo many flys everywhere, they kept on landing in our food, this was annoying to all of us at the table, you don't want to be having a nice meal and having flies everywhere. You need to put two big fans in the entrance of the bar section roof or put screen doors there so the flys do not come in. I can't believe this wasn't in the design brief. Because of the fly situation I don't want to come back, so unhygienic, you could see them landing on the bench where the food was ready to be served on the food, not good, I've never experienced this in all my years of travel and dining out.

Interesting food and drinks menu. Our meals were great with the exception of the Blue Eye Cod which was a little dry and way too salty.

Andie’s has been open 6 weeks so we thought we’d give it a try (live locally). What a great redefinition of the place. My uncle owned the old motel for 50 years so it’s great to see Andie’s taking a fresh perspective on a brilliant location. The redesign is excellent - what used to be the dining hall for the motel has been revamped into a sleek and modern space with more tables than I thought possible but still lots of space. Great atmosphere and the tables seemed to turn over a few times. But we went for the food, which was amazing. Straciatella, eggplant chips and crudo starters were all fantastic. Hard to pick a winner from this bunch but we’d definitely recommend the unique eggplant spin. The ribeye was our shared large plate, with roast snake beans. The meat was wonderfully cooked and served, perfect for 2 of us. All washed down with a bottle of Chianti- lovely wine list, lots of different options but not voluminous. Hockey recommend trying this place and hope it sticks around!!

We went with the recommendations of the male who served us with what to eat and were very happy and impressed. Had a few small plates and shared the fish as a main. So delicious! Can’t wait to come back and try all the other things. The whole space was so beautiful.
