The Face of 4th Street

Four amigos had a vision of bringing a high-quality & authentic Mexican experience back to Calgary – the journey began with a research trip to Guadalajara.

They gathered stories & vibrant décor pieces, soaked up the sunshine & culture, sampled a lot of tequila, and finally figured out what the squiggle above the “n” was called.

The result?

A stunning multi-level sky-lit room, inspired & interactive Mexican cuisine, 200+ tequilas, and Calgary’s best margarita.

In the landmark 4th Street Rose building, an anchor of the neighbourhood in the ’80s, the Mexican experience has been elevated to another level. Fresh, locally grown ingredients, cooked to perfection in Mexican style with a flair for contemporary flavours. Vibrant, boisterous, and bold.

We love going to Añejo. For my husband and I, this is our to go place for a nice day out when we want good Mexican food and fun margaritas. The reason I gave 4 starts to the food this time, is because my husband was a bit disappointed with his molcajete. We normally give them 5 stars across the board.

Typically we have the tacos but this night we ordered Mexican dishes. The food was very good. We were lucky we were on the second floor so a bit quieter than the main floor and our server she was outstanding. Excellent service.

Añejo is always consistently tasty. Great food. Great service. Great times. The new renos are nice too.
