Anepalco is a modern Mexican restaurant located next to ALO Hotel in Orange, California. Our restaurant combines traditional Mexican ingredients with a modern twist. We focus on bringing flavors from all regions of Mexico to your palate. Come and try our famous chilaquiles, organic handmade tortillas, Huitlacoche Octopus tacos or al pastor tacos for lunch. Visit us for dinner where the menu gets sophisticated with a Agua Chile Negro, Chichilo Mole, Short Ribs Barbacoa with chochoyotes or Pork Belly Tacos. Server was on it so that was nice. We had the pitcher of margarita and it was well worth it. Food was above average the chilaquiles were good but the enchiladas not so much.

The photos were very deceitful. The restaurant is a small establishment more of a bar setting. The food was cold also.

I liked the ambiance and the service. The food was mostly good, but there was an issue with either the cooks or the server. I wanted over-easy eggs, but was told that would be charged as a side because all the eggs are prepared ahead of time either sunny-side or well-done. An odd practice, but I accepted the extra charge. The eggs came out a few minutes after the rest of the food, but were well-done. I said the eggs were wrong, so I sent them back and reminded the server that I wanted the eggs over-easy. The eggs came out 10 minutes later, when I was basically done with the rest of my food, and they were sunny-side. Either the cooks or chef did not care to make the accommodation I asked for or the server did not care to check that the eggs were made incorrectly.

Everything was delicious and the presentation was 💯 We had the calamari appetizer, the margarita flight, short ribs(spicy) and the scallops.

Noise levels were a little to high, but based on the fact that we were sitting on the Patio, it’s understandable as some traffic is common in the area.

This place was delicious, it was clean, the service was great & fast. It’s so adorable inside, definitely brings out the Hispanic culture which is so beautiful! Will definitely come here again when we come back to visit in the future.

Husband and I met a friend for brunch and had an amazing time. The food was spectacular, the drinks were unique and delicious and the service was amazing. We have been here many times before but not back since the pandemic. This visit was right up to par! Definitely recommended.

This was my first time eating here and the food was delicious...very authentic. On the expensive side - similar pricing to Javier's in Newport.
