Angler is a seafood-focused Saison Hospitality Group restaurant with one Michelin star on the Embarcadero waterfront, featuring views of our expansive wood burning hearth and the San Francisco Bay, where each dish is touched by fire and intended to be shared.

Our sourcing is deliberate and our menus closely follow the seasons of Northern California.

    This prix-fixe menu evolves daily and is curated especially for you by our culinary team upon your arrival. The menu is designed to be shared, highlighting both Angler classics and our latest seasonal dishes. This experience is $145 per person, exclusive of sales tax, service fee, & SF mandate. We kindly request 48 hours of advance notice to try and accommodate dietary restrictions, or to craft a vegetarian or vegan menu. Due to the nature of our culinary processes, we are unable to provide a fully gluten-free menu nor omit trace amounts of mushrooms or alliums.

    The food was very tasty and high quality. We booked the cook-for-you experience. We were served 11 different dishes. All foods were delicious and served very beautifully. The portions were small but 11 dishes altogether made a big portion. The ambiance and servers were super nice and friendly. It was fixed price but there was a 20% service fee.

    We attended immediately after our engagement on pier 7. Our waitress was Sarah, she was amazing and went above and beyond! Couldn’t have dreamt for better service or food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    They forgot one dish but overall it was very good. Staff was fantastic and friendly. Lots of variety on the menu. The tuna tartare was amazing!

    It was such an incredible experience. Food, ambience, service, aesthetics everything there is excellent and I cannot wait to visit again and recommend my network to visit!

    This is my new favorite restaurant. I went for a business meal with clients that I wanted to impress - Check that off the list! The restaurant smelled good the minute we walked in - the visuals are great (big fires at the back behind the kitchen counter, everything quite open and on view). Every single item we ordered (family style) was absolutely delicious. We had the diver scallops (pricy but well worth it), the thinly sliced potato thingy (yum) and the salad (meyer lemon). We also had sea bream and honestly the best charred Brussels sprouts I have ever eaten in my life. The service was absolutely impeccable. The wine pairings were expert. The whole experience was top notch and I plan to bring my lovely wife there next time we are in SFO. The only thing I really didn't like was the taxidermy exhibit ... seemed quite strange for a restaurant focused on fish, but at least those critters were not in the main dining room. Thank you Angler we'll be back.

    Atmosphere - the restaurant is beautiful. Decor is beautiful tones of wood and decorations are classy and appropriately tied to the water/fishing. The open kitchen is a beautiful attraction. And the venue is spacious. Food - the food we delicious. all produce was good quality. presentation was beautiful (with plates clean and nicely plated). portions were a fair size that you will leave satiated. Hygiene - all aspects of the restaurants were clean. From entrance, to seating areas, bathroom and bar. Floors and surfaces were not sticky. Nor did the restaurant have any smell. Menu - the menu had a good range of offerings. with accomodations to orders possible should you connect with your server (we subbed my fries for a salad to accomodate the potato I ordered) Price - pricing is more than fair for a Michelin restaurant. The special menus are a great way to eat Michelin at an affordable rate! Sound - I went at lunch, where while busy, would not be as loud as dinner. With that, acoustics are set nicely that conversations could happen without being drowned out by others or the music played. Service - well done. I sat at the bar and was attended to regularly. both in regards to supporting my meal, but also personal conversations with the bartender.
