   Great supper!! Loved the menu! We all loved our choices, salmon with chilli noodles, calamari, pork belly, chicken burger with an Asian twist, double beef burger followed by raspberry and apple crumble, baked Alaska, lemon marscapone cheesecake with honey & popcorn, sticky toffee pudding Lovely table do we could sit out of the way with our two dogs Great service, thank you ☺️

   The food was average. I had the sirloin steak, and it was not good quality; the meat was subpar, and the sauce lacked any real flavor. For dessert, I had the lemon honeycomb popcorn cheesecake, and only the popcorn tasted good. The cheesecake was hard and lacked any zest. The calamari we ordered had a terrible batter—maybe a YouTube video could teach them how to make a good one. We first went in last night without a reservation, and the waiter told us it was fully booked—but we could sit outside. Yes, outside in winter when it’s 5 degrees. That’s spot-on service and really shows how much they value their customers. Since I don’t give up easily, I decided to check for a reservation while standing outside the restaurant. Funny enough, I managed to book a table for 45 minutes later. I was genuinely surprised by the kind of service they provided, yet they still expected me to pay that fee. No shame! I was also astounded by the casualness of the service team in adding a 12.5% service charge. They added it without the courtesy of informing us of the percentage, and when asked, they simply said, “It can be removed,” making the situation awkward. Charging a service fee for something that is part of their job role is ridiculous.

   We were staying at the Goodwood Hotel. The food choices there are very limited and my wife is vegetarian. We looked at Google maps and this was one of the closest pubs. The menu choices were fantastic, plenty of creative vegetarian dishes. Not the usual pub grub. I had the lamb. The whole experience was fantastic. A lovely pub serving very high quality food at very reasonable prices. I can’t wait to go back.

   Mostly a great time, my only gripes would be the amount of Squid in the starter, I had 4 small rings, which for the price, was disgusting. Also the so called baked alaska pudding, it was in fact hard cold meringue stuck on ice cream, so should not be called that on the menu. On complaint it was removed from our bill.

   Went there as a party of 3 for Sunday lunch the restaurant was warm and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome from the moment you walked in to the moment you left. The food was amazing, good choice of meals, Good quality and nicely presented. We had no problem parking as there seemed to be plenty of spaces. Looking forward to returning Would highly recommend 😁

   I chose the Anglesey Arms as a halfway point to meet up with some family members. I had no idea what to expect as we'd never visited the pub before. The weather was cold outside, so it was lovely to walk through the door into a cosy pub that oozed warmth and character. There were four of us and we all chose to have the Sunday roast, which was delicious, and the beef was perfect 👌. The staff were very busy as all the tables were full but they were still friendly and attentive. I'm already planning another catch-up with family at this lovely pub.

   Had been recommended this place for a while now and, despite it being only 20 mins away, I’ve been yet to visit. However, I’m so glad I did book. The roasts were fantastic and there were definitely 4 clean plates at the end. Being overly critical, there was no crackling with the pork and the beef roast wasn’t particularly warm. But I’m being super picky here. We’ll be booking to come back!

    Excellent quality main meal and pudding. The addition of the popular garlic bread would have been ideal, as an aside or starter? It was great being ablw to have a taster of different beers before deciding. Highly recommend this place.
