The pappardelle bolgonese was the only good thing about this dinner. The hostess was nice but the wait staff was poor. It took 25 minutes to get bread. We ordered a caprese salad to split as an appetizer but it took half an hour to get there (and the place wasn’t that busy) and then more than ten minutes to get plates to split it up on to. Those came at the same time as the chicken Parmesan (incredibly weak) and the pappardelle. We ended up asking the caprese salad to be taken off our bill (which it was). An extremely disappointing Valentine’s Day experience.

Spaghetti and meatballs lacked flavor and over priced. Shrimp scampi had watery sauce and lacked flavor, also Over priced. Not what we expected for the area and the price.

I reserved a table at Anthony's La Piazza to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. It has a lovely, modern decor, and it wasn't crowded on that Sunday evening. The food was really tasty. We started with fried mozzarella and stuffed mushrooms. Our entrees were exceptional. The filet mignon melted in your mouth, and the Bolognese so very good. The cocktails were excellent as well, especially the espresso martini. I can't recommend the staff highly enough. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and personable. The hostess, our waitress, and the food runner were wonderful. They went above and beyond ensuring that our celebration was outstanding. The sparkler in the chocolate cupcake at the end was chef's kiss and the perfect ending to our night. We will definitely be back!

First timer NY’er. Our server Nicky was personable and accommodating. Delicious salmon piccata, cooked PERFECTLY w/the perfect amount of sauce with capers. Side of vegetables were room temp, not sure if they were supposed to be hot(which I would have preferred), but it was fine. Rigatoni (colossal size)alla vodka was outstanding. Again, perfect ratio of ingredients. The added meatballs were a disappointment. The texture and flavoring were not good. Will definitely pass on them going forward. The house salad with the Chianti dressing was delicious. We had to ask for bread. Bottom line, the food was high quality and deliciously prepared. Pass on the meatballs. I’ll be back.

...my second time dining here, and it definitely was better than the first. The food as before was amazing. The drinks my party chose were delicious. Our server was awesome. And Anthony stopped by the table to speak to us...

We ordered the lobster ravioli and it was soooo delicious. The staff were hands-on and attentive. Can't wait to go back.

    1. Food was ok. A little bit overpriced but they do provide quite a lot of food which compensates for the cost. It didn’t wow me but I also didn’t disappointed. 2. Service was below average. There are some sections (high tops) where a door opens and closes letting the cold air come in and affecting the high tops and bar. The host didn’t seem to care we had a reservation and was sort of rude. After the manager sat us, she was sitting on a bunch on her phone. But once we were sat, they didn’t bring bread until 15 minutes of being on our high top. We had to ask for oil and balsamic because they “forgot”. Then we waiting literally 1 hour for our food. I’ve never waited so lunch in a restaurant of this caliber. It was a bit disappointing. 3. One more thing, there is a high top all the way against the wall. Saw a family there and the waiters/waiteesses tried to fit and bring food and drinks through the small opening between their table and the bar. If I was the people on that high top, I would have been VERY annoyed as every 2-3 minutes you had to say “sorry let me move”. 4. The ambience is nice. Looks very neat and new. 5. I probably won’t come back here. I still recommend for people to go out and make their own conclusions. Is a nice place and convenient if you want Italian food in downtown Raleigh

Noisy atmosphere. Lounge act singer was laughable. Food was average at an above average price. Menu warns of a 4% up charge if using credit, but bill arrives with the 4% already added. Asked server for the cash price and they snottily replied 4% less as if to ensure I knew they were not happy I wasn’t tipping on the up charge. No comment on receipt about the 4% already added, so I suspect they are suckering some cash payers into paying the up charge.
