Executive chef: Ralph Pausina

From the OpenTable editors: Antoine’s is the county’s oldest continuously operating restaurant and a special-occasion destination for its opulent setting and elegant, French-Creole fare. Sit in one of 14 gilded dining rooms to feast on favorites like oyster Rockefeller and soufflé potatoes, both original to the restaurant. Cap the meal with a classic baked Alaska or the house chicory coffee, laced with cognac and triple sec and flamed tableside—it’s New Orleans, after all.

Food was great but service was off. Very hard to get even one of the 3 bartenders attention as they were just talking and joking amoungst themselves. Then we got seated and were told bread and butter was coming. Bread showed up but no butter for about 10 minutes. You would expect them to arrive together. We ordered the revillon brunch and the 1st course was wrong for one of us, tried to tell the server but they ran off without listening. I couldnit get our main server"s attention and finally flagged someone else down who had a really sour attitude. When i ordered tea, i got tea, then cream an sugar came about 5 minutes later and then after another 5 minutes a tea spoon came. It was cold by then.

This was our first time ever getting this dressed up and going to a very nice place like this! My husband and I took our daughter who just turned 18 and her friend. We had Aaron as a waiter. He was very accommodating and answered every question we had and even the ones we didn't have. He made sure we understood everything! We also talked to Becky who was a waitress at the table next to us and she was also very nice. They both made us feel at home! The food was also good too! Thanks you guys!

Very disappointing service. Waiter messed up sequence of food, brought wrong food to wrong people, no crabmeat on my pompano, husbands fish almondine had no sauce, people in restaurant were casually dressed, hats, shorts. Kids in restaurant were allowed by parents and staff to dance in middle of restaurant and yell and scream. This was so not the experience I planned on as a local patron.

What happened to this iconic restaurant. I was looking forward to a special occasion dinner. Disappointed to see no dress code at all. Men in shorts, tshirts, baseball caps- kids running around misbehaving. Woman at the table next to me was vaping the whole meal. The food was not as described. The duck confit was not confit it was roasted. The bone in strip was not on bone and it had no sear on it- it looked grey in color. Soup and salad and deserts were good but I won’t be back

We have had Réveillon Dinner in New Orleans every year since 2012 but have never eaten it at Antoines. We were pressed for time because of packing our weekend schedule with so many wonderful activities in the city, so we opted for the Réveillon Brunch. It was wonderful and fun, so many families celebrating as well. The food was delicious, and the service was efficient and friendly. Highly recommend this Holiday option.

Had higher expectations for a nicer restaurant in the area. Slow service overall. Most food items were not that hot when they arrived. Both orders of eggs Benedict had over cooked eggs. Service team being helpful and polite were the redeeming factor.
