Executive chef: Ralph Pausina

From the OpenTable editors: Antoine’s is the county’s oldest continuously operating restaurant and a special-occasion destination for its opulent setting and elegant, French-Creole fare. Sit in one of 14 gilded dining rooms to feast on favorites like oyster Rockefeller and soufflé potatoes, both original to the restaurant. Cap the meal with a classic baked Alaska or the house chicory coffee, laced with cognac and triple sec and flamed tableside—it’s New Orleans, after all.

Antoine's is usually outstanding, but my most recent visit was lackluster at best. The whole experience fell short of their usual high standards. The food was not worth the price and took excessively long. Nothing came out at the same time and when it finally arrived, it was cold. The service was off too. I have eaten at Antoine's many times and was always delighted. Perhaps they were just having an off night.

This was the worse meal I had my whole trip and I eat at all the best places and this didn’t live up to to it reputation the service was like a cafeteria instead of a four star restaurant food was cold the waiter try to give us a free dessert but by that time it came to that we just wanted out of there and still spent way to much money for a bad meal if you want a truly old New Orleans restaurants go to , commanders, Palace, Brennans,Arnoud’s

Beautiful restaurant! However, the food and service left much to be desired . The two waiters dropped a spilled many things.. bread in floor, spilled water all over the table, dumped my son’s fries over. Once the food came out the shrimp and grits were hardly room temperature and my steak was blue when I asked for medium well and incredibly salty. After viewing so many great reviews I was disappointed. I am hopeful it is was just an off day and maybe new staff.

Pretty bad service: we didn't get all our food and had to wait for kids food, poor menu - no kids options. Bad for branch in particular. Don't recommend

Such a lovely dinner at Antoine’s. Enjoyed sitting in the lovely large Annex room and viewing the Christmas tree. Excellent attentive service by Silas and TJ, my water glass never ran dry and I never had to pour my own wine. Silas gave me some great menu suggestions to help create a very nice dinner. I look forward to returning again soon.

Far too many people in this place to serve decent food with so few waiters. Our table was unbalanced and much effort was made to put various items under the legs to no avail and then seated six of us at a round table for eight. Waiter promptly dropped an entire tray of food next to us and another waiter slipped and fell down in it. It was a clown show, Waiters did not know how to serve, repeatedly reaching in front of me to serve and remove my wife's plates. No training apparently. Redfish was barely warm as was the gumbo appetizer. One gumbo ordered was never delivered. Chocolate tart dessert was inedible. No expresso. Don't go here except to look around and then eat somewhere else.
