Welcome to Archer, newly added to the Michelin Recommended list for 2023. We invite you to embark on a culinary journey through the coasts and waters of the Pacific Northwest. Our offerings highlight the bounty provided by the region's talented farmers, fisherfolk, and producers, celebrating the diverse cultures and flavors of Canada.

Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, Archer provides a casual fine dining experience perfect for any occasion. Join us for brunch on Saturday and Sunday, lunch Monday through Friday, and dinner seven days a week. Our cozy bar is a fun spot to celebrate birthdays, enjoy drinks, cocktails, and gathering with groups.

Made reservation for 6 course chef tasting menu on my birthday with allergy details on open table app. We were in the restaurant entrance/host counter for almost 5mins before a host came to greet us, there was not a permanent hosting staff manning the entrance. Restaurant hostess or waitress led us to our table did not mention us by name or mention of the birthday occasion during the entire dining experience. Table had all sorts of dinner menus even when we had specifically made tasting menu days in advance and had flagged specifically birthday celebration on OpenTable. We were not introduced what would be in the tasting menu from the website, or at the start of the experience verbally or on any written menu. Each course were revealed as they were served up. We ordered drinks first and in the next 5-10min wait the waitress asked us what we’d like to order. I then reminded her we ordered the chefs tasting menu, she then proceeded to ask if we had any allergies, after we had previously exchanged allergy confirmation on the app with the restaurant. The 1st course oyster, arrived first ahead of our drinks when drinks were ordered 10mins before waitress had realized we ordered the tasting menu. Drinks arrived with the 2nd course. We enjoyed the first 3 cold courses, however there was a bit of a 20min wait into the 4th course. The long wait prompted an inquired on how long of a wait until the next course, waitress explained cold dishes could be prepared more quickly than hot dishes to prepare. We were quite perplexed a Michelin restaurant was not able to gauge the pace of guest journey and respond to managing wait time expectations between courses. The explaining did not focus on feedback and places the issue back on the guests. (A table next to ours had 30mins between dishes) There was no clear narrative from the 6 courses. Chef menu holistically & each dish individually were not balanced. We also learned there are shared dishes from the regular menu.

Food was good but took over half an hour for the mains to come. Also took a while for water to be refilled. Super loud table beside us as well.

Wonderful service and exceptional food. We are celiac and they were very accommodating with lots of gluten free options.

Perfect place for a stylish intimate meal with friends. We had a birthday brunch here on the weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated for the holidays, grey cup attendees were out in full force, but it was still a relaxed atmosphere and servers were super friendly and prompt. There’s nothing I hate worse than a restaurant that’s too loud for conversation but this was lovely and we had a great time. Will be back for sure!

Disappointed is an understatement. As a Michelin recommended restaurant the ambiance was very poor, it was cold and very bright, not welcoming and poorly designed. The service was okay but rather slow. And then food was generally a hit or miss. Over all, extremely overpriced for the quality of the space and food.

This was my second time at Archer. The services was great as was the ambience. The octopus was fantastic as was my friend's scallops. We both had the pork collar which was also very good. Definitely will return

Wonderful experience, food was excellent, service top notch and enjoyed the ambience. We did the early prix fixe dinner and felt it was great value, portion sizes were generous and all the three courses absolutely delicious. Our server Tracy was wonderful - pleasant, professional and capable. We sat at a table near the entrance and our only small issue was that it was a bit chilly with the front door opening and the chilly evening air coming in, however really a small issue. Very enjoyable evening.
