I was expecting simple friendly relaxed ambience. I didn’t expect to feel like part of the family as soon as I walked in. And I didn’t expect such incredible quality in the food! Definitely going again

The vegetarian and vegan choices were delicious. The cauliflower burger was the best had yet and the tangine was mild and very tasty. I love the ambience.

A fabulous country pub with amazing live music gigs with reasonable tasty fare also a great beer garden during summer months

A very relaxed meal in very nice setting. We were warmly welcomed, meals arrived in timely manner & they were enjoyable.

Perfect place for lunch on a wet Sunday - friendly hosts, cosy open fire & a tasty slow cooked beef hotpot for lunch. The band 1920 played in the hall next door which was a great venue with good acoustics & room to dance - but if you buy general admission tickets you need to get there early to get one of the few stools.

I thought that it being dark inside detracted from it. It was a cold day and it was very cold inside and would have loved the open fire was lit to make it a little warmer and inviting. Food was excellent. I dine here again, but hope fire is going and doors closed to make it warmer and inviting
