Elegant, Classy, and Full of New York Charm! Amazing food, exceptional staff, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The owner even came around to shake hands—on Valentine’s Day, no less! Classy yet full of true New York culture, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner here but we both felt it was overpriced for what we received. They offer almost the exact same menu as a prix fixe menu option on Friday nights for $50 less. Since it was so much more expensive we figured they would offer a complimentary glass of bubbly, or a rose or at least an order of bread. No. So we found the 3 course meal a bit overpriced at $125. We did enjoy the restaurant and the staff was very attentive. The food was good and we would consider going back- just not for a holiday meal.

We went for lunch on Valentine's day but were only offered a fixed price menu for $125 pp. The selections were minimal and the food was average at best and not worth $125 pp. When we left we saw that other tables had regular menus which we were never offered. I chose this restaurant because of the positive Opentable review but there are so many better restaurants in NYC. We will not return.

Honestly, I was expecting a typical NYC steakhouse experience, and I was pleasantly surprised. My girlfriend and I were greeted very graciously, and our service was phenomenal. So now for the food. I ordered the filet, and the lamb was ordered by my girlfriend. My filet was probably one of the most tender pieces of meat I’ve ever had. Not exaggerating. I was shocked by the tenderness. The flavor was good, but the melting in my mouth set it apart. I for sure will be recommending to those who visit me in the city, and we will be returning sooner or later for a good steak. Thank you all again for a very standout experience.

Our medium rare veal chop came out well done. 30 minutes later, we finally got a medium or medium rare one, which still wasn’t that great. On a Friday night in NYC the restaurant wasn’t more than 25% occupied, which ought to tell you something. We will not return.

The service was excellent. I went to see an old friend and stayed 3 hours. They were very accommodating

Smart and intimate setting… the family oriented team behind Aretsky’s Patroon are among the most welcoming and warm in all of New York. Part of their genius is to make every guest feel like decades old regulars, but every aspect of their generosity is genuine. Delicious food, strong drinks, and a sharp wine list (cared for by Nathan Wooden) —what’s not to love. Thank you Gene and Ken!

Aretskys Patroon is always a treat. Great service, ambience, drink, and food. This visit was no exception. The food was fresh and perfectly prepared. The service was impeccable. The wine was exceptional
