   A buzzy, attractive addition to the nicely evolving town of Maclean. Good food, reasonable wine list, lovely old pub building, well restored. They have some teething problems. The ordering system needs serious improvements. You reserve a table online but when you arrive, have to line up to talk to one person at the bar who knows where your table is, Then you order food from that one person, but they can't take your drinks order. So you line up again. Please Argyle fix your logistics -- it adds ten or fifteen minutes to the time it takes to get settled. Sadly the orders are often mixed up -- probably because that one poor person gets harried. On two out of three visits, my partner's steak preference (medium) was obviously mixed up with mine (rare). The Argyle is trying hard, the staff are lovely, and the Manager has stepped in to help some of the problems on the night. We will keep supporting them.

   Couldn’t eat my pawn fettuccine as it was very fishy. Prawns were days off going off. Staff asked me why I didn’t eat it but now refund was spoken of. Partner had the mushroom risotto was bland & the cream took away from the everything.

   Fantastic food with great portions. Friendly service and stunning location. The beer garden is the best seating area as it can be quite hot on the front veranda but beautiful otherwise. 10/10 highly recommend

   It was our second visit to The Argyle. Great renovation. The menu is not extensive however I believe everyone could find something they like. We had three of the Prawn Linguine and the steak with vegetables. All were fantastic. Delivery of our meals took a while, however that was fine as we were out for dinner and not in a hurry. Wait and bar staff were young and friendly. We will be back, that's for sure

   Loved our dinner here in this beautifullyrenovated pub. The staff were very attentive and polite. The menu isnt too big and full of local produce. We sat outside in the back garden which was very spacious, can't wait to return.

   Friendly staff, a local pub vibe with a few different places to sit. Not many vegetarian options (1 main, which was a nice risotto).

    I have been several times now, and each time, the meals have been fabulous. Service is improving, and the Argyle is becoming a very friendly place to go.
