   The good: incredible music, great ambience/setting, good food, kind waiter/staff The bad: waited 25 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. First drink in ordered tasted like literal water (espresso martini is much, much better than the old fashioned I had here). Overall: the good was really good and the bad was really bad, but overall it was decent, but there are enough good places around I probably won’t return.

   If you love music, this is a great place to come and chill but do yourself a service & eat before you come here. Food was subpar, we didn’t finish the shrimp / mussel plate. Drinks are wine based not a full service bar here. Unfortunately not a great overall experience.

   I saw this restaurant on TikTok and it seemed very romantic and nice for Valentine’s Day so I made a reservation where I had to pay $10 to reserve. We arrived to the restaurant at 9:45 PM for our 10 PM reservation. We checked in and received a complementary shot of some kind, which was very nice. They asked us to wait a few minutes which we did. They have a very nice outdoor seating area that they don’t seem to use to have people eat there but more of like a waiting area. We waited until 10:15 and what seemed to be a manager or the owner told us a told us a table is getting wiped down for us and we will be seated in one minute. 10:25 came around and the same manager/owner person apologized saying that they gave our table to someone else and offered to bring us drinks on the house. We didn’t mind because it seemed like the manager/owner was very attentive and it was nice to sit outside while listening to the band. It then became 10:35, and we noticed that a couple who arrived after we did was seated first. I spoke to the hostess to let her know that we have been waiting and she kinda shrugged her shoulders and said that we will be seated next. It was 10:45 when the manager/owner came outside and offered us a free appetizer which we declined and offered 50% or 15% off the meal, it was loud outside, so we couldn’t hear very well. Time past again, and we received the appetizer but no drinks. During this whole time there was waiter serving us waters, which was nice. Finally around 11:05 we were seated and the owner/manager told us that he paid the band to play a little longer so we could enjoy the full experience since the band was supposed to end their set at 11. We entered and we ordered immediately. The food okay. We never received the drinks we ordered that we’re supposed to be on the house or the discount and my partner, and I were tired by that point we wanted to go home. We paid $73 overall for a bit so great experience. I know Valentine’s Day can be overwhelming.

   Amazing! Second time there- we had a great table, best service, clean environment and Alfred accommodated us promptly- even though traffic withheld us for 15 minutes.    Place is nice the jazz band that was playing was great problem was the sat us almost in the kitchen very stuffy couldn’t see the band from where we were sitting people constantly walking in front of us bumping into our table just very crowded we ordered a calamari and shrimp appetizer wich said it was for 2 to 4 people it ended up being barely for 1 to 2 don’t think we are coming back

   My wife and I finally made it out for a group dinner. I have to say, we were pleasantly surprised. The location is smaller then we anticipated but very much fits the intimate vibe and setting inside. The live music was wonderful, food and drinks were good as well. However, what really set Armstrong apart was the attention. They were short staffed the night we went and the manager doubled as our waiter and he was great throughout. We also met the owner whom stopped by a few times throughout the evening with recommendations or simply check in - top notch

   Issues with the kitchen, they only had 4 options available in the entire menu. The food that came was cold and bland. The jazz band played for a very limited time. The ambiance is good and the decor is fine. The drinks were good, the service could have been more attentive.

   I wish I could’ve had a better experience here because I genuinely wanted to love it. My reservation was at 10pm, didn’t get in till 10:30pm even though I got there earlier, the band left at 11:05pm so I barely got to enjoy the music. I could also barely see the band play but that’s because I got seated all the way down back and I’m 5’2 so that’s not their fault. Regardless of this inconvenience, the atmosphere is great and it could be nice for date night or be with your gals. However, I do recommend not coming on the weekend since you’ll be waiting a while even if you have reservations but it’s still good for a weekend night out. I’ll try to come back here soon and hopefully I’ll be able to try the food, see the band play fully and get a better seat.

    Excellent ! The ambience, the music, the service, the food, the drinks! You feel like you are back in the 1950s at a jazz bar in New York or Chicago. Loved it! Will definitely go back!
