   The ambiance was lovely. The music was very good, but the band went on break for half an hour. I wouldn't have minded, but I paid a cover to see the band that was on break. The food was very expensive for what you got. The mashed potatoes were definitively box potato flakes, and not real mashed potatoes. The mac and cheese tasted like Velveeta shells and cheese. The dirty martini was sweet tasting with some syrup in it and made with tiny cheap grocery store spanish olives. The quality of the food did not align with the expensive price. Overall, I was extremely disappointed. I will not go back. Go for the band. Do not go for the food or drinks. For the same price, eat at Morton's then go for the band afterwards, maybe they will not be on a break.

   Service, atmosphere, and staff were great. Jazz was spot on-loved it. But the food lacked badly. I had calamari/shrimp, salmon, broc/cheese sauce. No flavor save for gravel/schroom topping all looked under-cooked waxy-looking. It didn’t look exactly appetizing. Maybe it should be grilled and seasoned to enhance its appeal and be able to stand on its on without being smothered with gravy. Believe me I’m not a food complainer as long as it’s reasonably adequately prepared, this is the longest review I’ve ever done.

   I booked this reservation 1 month before, I had set high expectations of this place but I was very surprise. We waited 20 minutes to be seated. The seating arrangement is extremely uncomfortable, they accommodated us in foldable metal chairs. Extremely cramped place you could barely eat properly. The seating arrangements have your back facing the musicians if you are a table of 4. The food was overpriced and flavor was not there at all, we ordered appetizer and entres. Unfortunately all our food was cold, the salmon was flavorless. The meat was cold, and the burger as well. We were being rushed to leave the table to accommodate for the next reservation. The place has a strong diffuser smell. Service was okay, is so cramped that everyone is fighting to get by. The only great thing is the music. It’s unfortunate to travel so far over an hour to be disappointed.

   No nos gusto que nunca nos dieron un bill para ver los gastos solo el mesero le dijo a la chica ella presento un telefono para que le pagaramos y ya me pareced que esto no corecto el lugar es muy lindo acogedor pero no volvemos

   We had a marvelous experience. The service and attention were superb. Thank you, Alfred and Mary, for taking such good care of us. Armstrong is a fun and energetic jewel on The Mile, with a well-heeled crowd that appreciates fine jazz music. The trio was terrific, with an excellent flow of music that added to the cozy atmosphere. Wishing Armstong continued success...let the music play and prosecco pour!

   The good: incredible music, great ambience/setting, good food, kind waiter/staff The bad: waited 25 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. First drink in ordered tasted like literal water (espresso martini is much, much better than the old fashioned I had here). Overall: the good was really good and the bad was really bad, but overall it was decent, but there are enough good places around I probably won’t return.

    If you love music, this is a great place to come and chill but do yourself a service & eat before you come here. Food was subpar, we didn’t finish the shrimp / mussel plate. Drinks are wine based not a full service bar here. Unfortunately not a great overall experience.
