Asahi Grill keeaumoku has now opened in our new location in Kaimuki! We are located at 3008 Waialae Ave across the street from Goodyear and nearby City Mill. We have ample daytime parking in the Salz parking lot next door just look for our green signs. After 5 pm and all day Sunday all stalls are available to park. We also have two private dining rooms available to reserve seats (Minimum party of six and maximum of ten in each room). We thank all our loyal customers and welcome all our new ones. Aloha

    Food as expected: reasonably priced, good local foods. Of course, restaurant was busy on a Friday night and we had to wait a little bit on service. That was expected and acceptable for that time. However, I was surprised by credit card 3% surcharge- which was apparent AFTER credit card was charged. It would be nice if waiter provided advisory on credit card surcharge, IN ADVANCE.

    Food was excellent! We had many dishes and all were prepared perfectly. The Ox tail soup was great- if you have rheumatoid arthritis chance while visiting Oahu make sure you stop there.

    The oxtail soup continues to be excellent. The steamed opakapaka was delicious. The disappointment was the restaurant was out of Goya and chicken papaya soup.

    We usually enjoy the food here; but my order of fried rice was very disappointing. It’s like the kitchen forgot to put any protein or any seasoning into the dish. I usually order fried rice pretty much everywhere I go for comparison and critiquing. I’ll have to pass on this one.

    We got one of the private rooms. Food was delicious and service was great. Enjoyed the opakapaka fish plate, family ordered oxtail noodles, and ramen. We will definitely return 👍⭐️

    Food and service was ok. The amount charged for the portions given did not seem reasonable. We did not appreciate being scolded for putting in our reservations and showing up shortly thereafter. We were told we needed to put in our reservations hours in advance. Our thought was if you didn't have anything available, it would've shown on Open Table as not available, but instead it showed there was availability. In the end, the food and what they charged was not worth it, nor was the scolding session we received. We felt she could've told us in a more tactful way, but more importantly, if it was an issue for them, they should monitor their Open Table account more timely.
