Ashton's is a local gastropub and event space located in the heart of Clonskeagh on the banks of the River Dodder, serving great food and drinks and warm hospitality seven days a week. Split over two levels, Ashton's encompasses a large open bar and dining room, a dedicated event space on the lower ground floor, and two terraces overlooking the passing river. Ashton's Gastropub serves lunch and dinner seven days a week, with its signature Carvery available on weekdays. With a focus on seasonality and sourcing local, the menu at Ashton's includes elevated pub classics with something for everyone.

My party of 4 were very disappointed on our arrival to see that Ashtons is undergoing extensive renovations, we were not informed of this on making our booking and would not have booked had we known. It should have been posted on the Web page. As it was Saturday night we were left with limited options for an alternative venue. The floor staff were very apologetic but I feel the owners and management failed to inform would be diners of renovations which leaves Ashtons with a poor ambience and void of what was its charm. I must mention we left without eating or having a drink so my complaint is purely based on the condition of the premises on arrival and our disappointment on what should have been a birthday celebration with friends having travelled from kildare to be present. Simply not good enough.

Nice table by window to left. Quality ware and pkeasant service. Good food, pub fare or just above. Chips good, but cud be given a third dip. Shud be brown n crispy imo

Refurbishment going on inside the premises. Would not recommend, lighting was all wrong. Service was poor.

Under renovation so it was cold &draughty. Doors to gents toilets missing so no privacy Some starters and main courses ‘sold out’ and so was vanilla ice cream for all the desserts. Hard to credit that as the place was half empty from 7-9pm Might be a good idea to close until renovations are finished Sad to see how standards have fallen at the once wonderful spot. Doubt we’ll be back anytime soon

Food was excellent but building works and the lack of heating took away from tge experience

The restaurant was doing maintenance around after 7 PM loud and noisy for a dinner. The burger bun was too small, barely a 1/4 the size of the chicken patty, and the wings were overly oily
