    The only very minor criticism was the limited selection of protein for main. The flavour bomb experience was top shelf along with the service. We would go back again and have the same selection a number of times. It was that good.

    Ates was divine. The food is spectacular and has left us thinking about it for days. The staff were very friendly and attentive, explaining dishes and processes for how different parts of the meals were made. A beautiful spot with fantastic vibes. Would highly recommend it.

    A great dining experience in Blackheath Ates is a small restaurant which serves imaginative and well prepared dishes. We had the chefs selection (95$ per person) with focaccia, a delicious tartlet, beetroot with basil, burratta and additionally a plate of octopus as starters. All delicious. Followed by crispy duck served with pumpkin and a salad. Finally two desserts to share. It was good value and thoroughly enjoyable.

    This is our second visit and this time we celebrated our Valentine's Day dinner at Ates and had a wonderful time. We definitely recommend the charred octopus, chargrilled Swordfish & roasted duck. Service was excellent. Will definitely go back.
