   Does not disappoint. The food and atmosphere of this restaurant are top-notch. Will return when in Halifax again.

   Very good food, professional and attentive service, lovely restaurant and ambiance, wonderful french fries.......highly recommended..........we will be back!

   I really wanted to give this place a great review. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. We have 3 kids, don’t have a chance to go out often but when we do we spare no expense. We live 35 minutes from downtown, arranged a babysitter, it was my husband’s birthday, there were only 4 of us. We had never been, so it took us a while to decide on food, but no one rushed us or advised that we were under a time crunch, we ordered drinks. Our reservation was at 6pm (nothing was said online about a private event). Then at around 7pm we were told we had 30 minutes to finish up as there was a private event starting at 8pm and they needed to set up for that. We had just received our hot mezzas and were several drinks in, had not received our dips or mains at this point. I’m a slow eater at the best of times but frankly, from that point on, we just felt pressure to hurry up. A lot of staff standing around staring at us. When asked what brought us out, we advised it was my husband’s birthday. Long story short, we had to pack up food we were still interested in eating, we would have ordered many more drinks and probably more food, if given the chance, they didn’t even offer us a dessert menu or coffee, even though we said we were there for a birthday, they clearly just wanted us out. I left hungry. If we would have known this, we would have spent our night out and our money somewhere else that at least would have acted like they wanted us there. I should have been told when I booked it that I had 90 minutes, I should have been told when we were seated that we have 90 minutes. You could tell our waitress was embarrassed, she even said we didn’t need to tip. None of this was her fault. Please remember that a night out doesn’t happen every weekend for a lot of us and we have chosen you as a place to finally unwind and relax. The food was delicious, but I won’t be back, there’s too many other great places to go in Halifax, things are too expensive for mediocre experiences.

   As always Au Liban never fails to impress. We took advantage of the tasting menu and shared our selections. Of course we added grilled halloumi!

   The atmosphere was fantastic, setting the perfect tone for an enjoyable meal. The starters, however, truly stole the show—the fatoush salad was, without a doubt, the best salad I’ve ever had at any restaurant. Every bite was fresh and so flavorful. The main courses were also excellent, though they had tough competition from the standout appetizers. Overall, a great dining experience—I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning soon!

   As Liban is a perfect dining setting to celebrate a special occasion, anniversary, or just to enjoy a great meal. The service was professional( Alan was amazing), friendly, receptive to any of our needs, and welcoming. A great spot and we will definitely be back as regulars.

    Thank you to Chef George and the entire team for another fantastic meal. Everything was just perfect and the flavors were amazing it was a great haute table. Always a pleasure
