   Aurelia at Castle Hill Inn: A Refined Culinary Experience with a View: Nestled within the stunning grounds of Castle Hill Inn, Aurelia offers an intimate, romantic dining experience with an unrivaled panoramic view of the ocean. From the moment we stepped into the dining room, the ambiance set the tone for an evening of elegance and quiet conversation—a rarity in many fine dining establishments today. The atmosphere was peaceful, allowing us to fully enjoy the company of our friends and the unfolding courses before us. One of the standout elements of our evening was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, striking that perfect balance of hospitality and professionalism. The sommelier, in particular, was both affable and impressively knowledgeable, making excellent wine pairings that complemented each course seamlessly. As for the menu, it was a delightful journey through a variety of flavors, offering seafood, game bird, and beef options. While I personally enjoy seafood, a couple in our party do not, and we all went in aware of the menu’s general direction. That said, we were somewhat surprised by the amount of raw seafood in the early courses—most notably the scallops. It was a bit unexpected, and we found ourselves wondering about the chef’s vision for that dish. But as the meal progressed, it became clear that the intention was to stretch our palates and present something outside of the usual expectations, a creative exploration of flavors and textures. That’s the beauty of Aurelia—the culinary approach is thoughtful, intentional, and designed to push boundaries while maintaining an exquisite standard of quality. Even when a dish sparked conversation or curiosity rather than immediate satisfaction, it was clear that the chef is deeply committed to delivering a unique and engaging dining experience. My wife and I have long loved Castle Hill Inn, and the main dining room holds a special place in our hearts. Bravo, Staff!

   Our Aurelia fine dining evening was a beautiful 2.5 hour six course experience with servers and sommeliers who are knowledgeable and engaging throughout the service.

   I usually don’t take the time to write reviews but Aurelia more than deserves this one. In a sentence, I see why they have two Michelin stars. The sign at the door tells you all you need to know. Everything from start to finish was fantastic, the food, the staff, and the prestige wines were even more fantastic. I know Michelin says a two star restaurant is only “worth the detour” but for us this one was the destination, and it didn’t disappoint.

   This was truly one of my top five best dining experiences. From the incredible food, to the attention to detail, to the gift bag on the way out - everything was flawless. The service was exceptional and the mocktail pairings really blew me away. We will absolutely be dining with you again.

   Restaurant was unable to accommodate a dairy intolerance with the prix fixe menu, even though the regular menu was available to diners at the bar. Forced a food selection that included raw amberjack which I had said I could not eat. Pescatarian, so ordered the cod for main course. It was barely cooked and no substitute was offered for the meat which came with the dish (explained no-meat diet) yet still charged full price. Server poured champagne that we did not ask for as we already had cocktails, then charged us $35 for it. $400 on food alone and the best part was the sourdough bread. Left hungry.

    We had dinner there on New Year’s Eve. From the service to the wine list and the tasting menu, everything was superb. A wonderful dining experience!
