Ava's St. Michaels no longer takes reservations on Open Table. We take reservations for parties of 8 or more through our website. The best way to get a table is our Call-Ahead Waitlist. Please call us at 410-745-3081 or go to avaspizzeria.com to join the list. If you plan to "dine with your dog" on our patio, please call ahead. There is a two-dog limit at any given time.

Creative Italian dining featuring hand-crafted pizzas, pasta, and unique "Ava's fare" is on the menu at this cozy find. The original Ava’s is located in the heart of St. Michael’s in a cleverly adapted historical home once known for Jimmy Jump's goose-picking service.

We sat on the outdoor heated patio , it was festive and delightful. Our server was sweet and attentive. Wine list is assorted quality & cost. Get the bottle! And enjoy. Spin Dip is a must!! Caesar salad and the basil EVOO was an added treat to our pizza. Kudos Ava’s Pizzeria & Wine Bar!

The food was delish, but even though we made a reservation - and it stated upstairs dining, we were seated in the small room next to the kitchen (and takeout waiting area) and my initial view was of the side of a refrigerator :( . Once another table left, we asked to be moved there, so we had a nice window seat, however we were still in the kitchen/carryout area with a constant view of peoples behinds waiting for their takeout and the busy restroom door. That was the only disappointing part of our dining at Ava's. I am all about ambiance, to me it is just as important as the meal itself. I would return to Ava's, but only after ensuring I was not seated by the kitchen!

Love the neighborhood vibe of Eva’s and am a very big fan of Detroit style: light and crispy: Pig Pen is my fav!

The pizzas are great and offer unusual combinations. The arugula and prosciutto is a favorite.

The surroundings and aroma suggested an excellent, if not outstanding, meal. Food, sadly, was very mediocre. Pizza was about what one would expect from a chain restaurant, which was a disappointment. The sauce on the pizza and spaghetti tasted overly sweet, as though they added too much sugar while making the sauce. Other than that the sauce was bland to the point of tasteless. Service was good and it’s clearly a very popular place.

Updated review, Good meal, tried to order a bottle of wine, finally at the 4th choice they had a bottle available. Appreciate the response from restaurant. Understand things can happen, will try again next time in town.

Anthony, I was here for your dinning experience and would like to apologize for the wine. We were in a little of a transition stage at the restaurant and had some ordering discrepancies were made. Will not happen again, and look forward to making your next visit a 5 star visit

Food always is delish! We especially love the Detroit pizzas and wasabi oysters!! Alyssa was a great server and we had fantastic service!

our first visit to Ava's in St Michael's was fantastic! the place was buzzing with people hoping to snag a table, so i'm so glad we made a reservation for lunch! we ordered Ma's meatball for an appetizer and shared a thin crust pizza, which we customized with our own toppings. i am very picky about meatballs, but i can honestly say this was one of the tastiest meatballs i've ever had! the pizza was also one of the best i've tasted...the crust, sauce and that housemade cheese...WOW and i may have to drive the 2 hours from home to enjoy it again!
