    Superbly prepared unique, flavorful, and delicious dishes. Tried the hummus with pickles, mushroom pizza, chicken Shawarma, and sweet potatoes with feta. All excellent. Tight quarters mixed in with other guests allowing hearing other conversation, but nice sense of community.

    Avec is the best of the best Chicago restaurants! We had an endive salad to start, the chicken shawarma with hummus, and champagne. It was a perfect meal for a very special celebration! The food, atmosphere and service were superlative, and the amazing team made our celebration such a memorable and wonderful experience! Thank you so much, avec!!!

    Prompt & attentive service with a great beverage list and delicious flavors, though some dishes just miss the mark (e.g. prawns in a blazing hot cast iron pan that still require peeling, sweet potatoes that are more burnt/blackened than charred)

    Food is excellent. I was hoping for a bit more from the front of house. Valentine’s Day is a busy night and there I am happy to receive service from the bartender. I also could have navigated the menu better on my own end, but above and beyond service might have helped deliver an elite dining experience.

    I’ve been here before but brought my family in for first time and I’ve never seen them as happy at a restaurant before! Celebrated my mom’s birthday and we honestly don’t have enough nice things to say! Incredible experience!
