Discovering the experience of dining in a place such as Cannes or Nice was never easier than now with the opening of the French Bistro and Raw Bar, Avenue. The only difference between dining at Avenue and dining along the Côte d'Azur, is that your gaze lands on waves on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. Avenue is located along our side of the pond, on our own eastern shores in Long Branch, New Jersey. This gleaming new restaurant is designed by the internationally renowned architect David Collins, and the collaboration is nothing short of amazing.

    Gorgeous setting! Bright, open and ocean views. Food was excellent. We had the crab cake and the tuna tartare to start. Crab cake was a bit different than the norm in the best way! Super crunchy and a touch spicy. The tuna was incredibly fresh. I had the fish of the day, red snapper with a few pieces of diced squash, asparagus, tomatoes, and a chile pepper Buerre blanc. It was delicious but portion a bit small. The short rib beef bourguignon was delicious. Great portion. Dessert was a dark chocolate pot de crème and it was exquisite. Service was excellent and the drinks were great. I’m excited to return!

    Avenue has an awesome brunch special menu on Sunday's that is reasonably priced and delicious. We had the Norwegian which is similar to Eggs Benedict except it features smoked salmon instead of ham. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the hollandaise was smooth. Highly recommended.

    The beef bourguigion wasn't as good as last year. It was on mashed potatoes instead of noodles and no carrots and pearl onions. Escargot was delicious

    Avenue was busier than I’ve seen before. We used all 3 menus… brunch, all day & prix fixe … given to us. The food and ambiance were great as always; And our waiter … new to Avenue … was fast, got it all right, and he was a charmer. Perfect!
