With rich, dark green walls, elaborate décor and plush banquette seating, Ayllu is a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant serving contemporary sharing plates, sushi and innovative cocktails.

The cosy restaurant is built around the traditions of the Ayllu community of the Inca Empire. The Ayllu was a group of families that lived together, worked the land together and shared their belongings and mealtimes, just like a large family. Much like the Incan civilisation, Ayllu is about the coming together of friends and families and taking time to share an experience of great food and innovative cocktails with loved ones.

Drawing on the inspiration of the Ayllu community, the menu consists of innovative small plates, designed for the whole table to share. Traditional Peruvian flavours are paired with Japanese influences, bringing fresh and zesty aromas to each dish.

    A great hidden gem. Came in a early reservation (probably should have reserved later) and managed to get a table. Staff couldn’t do enough, recommended the squid as starter, which was excellent, the buns are absolutely stunning. Went for the sushi platter which was also excellent, the fish was really tender and tasty. Very good value for money ( especially compared to the London market). Will be back soon.

    Excellent experience, food was brilliant - both in taste, presentation and value for money. Managers and all staff couldn't be more friendly. Morella has an amazing professionalism. Doesn't look anything special from outside but it's one not to miss. Located in Paddington basin.

    Very good Pisco Sour, Ceviches and tiraditos. The Service was excellent, so friendly and easy going atmosphere. We’ll be back.

    This is a fantastic restaurant and a really great addition to the fairly average restaurant scene in London Paddington. South American flair and Japanese culinary influences make a great combination. Lovely service too.

    Great food cooked with love. the staff is really friendly and as a bonus great music on background. The menu was comprehensive and there is definitely something for everyone. I recommend making a table reservation, especially during the weekends.

    What a lovely surprise. Not your average Asian food. Tempura squid, beef bau buns that melted in your mouth. Food amazing, service 5*.. There was a beautiful background music which added to the ambience. Will be returning.
