To us, BABs is a place for friends, or those who will soon be. BABs is a casual energetic place with yummy food, authentic hospitality, great libations and friendly faces.

We cook ingredient driven food where inspiration comes from our personal experiences or one of the many cultures represented in our area, past and present. Our cooking is inspired by small local farms, using ingredients that are seasonal and raised or caught with care.

New Orleans is our home. It’s a place with an amazing sense of community where we’ve created meaningful relationships, and met extraordinary people along the way. We’re excited to continue feeding visitors and the people like us, who call it home.

    Amazing food. Loved to see Chef Nina Compton in the open kitchen. Drinks were very tasty as well. Cool vibe. Highly recommend.

    A hidden gem! Very hospitable staff and a very nice menu. Pure, well balanced flavours and excellent preparation of the fine and very fresh ingredients. Excellent wine choice too. We had a surprising natural savagnin wine matching every course. Usually not much of a desert lover but the chocolate cake blew me away anyway. Paired it with the dry madeira to accommodate for my European non-sweet tooth. Do not miss this restaurant.

    Thoroughly enjoyed my birthday experience at BAB’s. Great ambience, service and food. Highly recommend the lasagna; probably the best I have ever had. The Nutella ice cream was delicious, it tasted like chocolate mousse but with a heavier consistency. All in all a fabulous, fun night.

    The food was mediocre and the glass of wine I ordered smelled like burnt rubber- I had to have it swapped out. The waiter didn’t seem interested in tending to us at all. There were two good bites- the oysters and the octopus— but everything else left much to be desired.

    The service was outstanding & the food was delicious. I had the lasagna and it was amazing. The apple dessert was one of the best desserts I ever had.
