We are extremely proud & excited to announce the opening of our second location and future sister restaurant, Baia Coastal Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar! ‘Baia,’ meaning bay in Italian, will be located right on the water in Chesapeake Beach with beautiful unobstructed views of the bay. This new concept will be focusing on fresh seafood, house made pasta, and an extensive Italian wine program featuring a sophisticated, elegant atmosphere.

Consistently the best restaurant in Calvert County, hands down. Been several times and it never disappoints. They do play the music too loud, though. Way. Too. Loud.

A great new addition to the area, with better food and service than most. The mushroom and truffle bisque was spectacular, and the main courses we had were both very good. The place had a nice, upscale ambiance and was very comfortable. The waiter was mostly attentive and friendly. There were some small issues. The bread we ordered (to sop up the sauce of a pasta) arrived pretty burnt, and the waiter recognized that but didn't seem much bothered (and didn't comp it or replace it). In addition, the waiter merely assumed I wanted the 8 oz pour for my wine rather than the 5 oz, and I would rather have been asked. A dessert on the menu wasn't actually available, and its replacement was okay but a bit dense and lacking in flavor. In addition, it's a pretty tough place for a vegetarian. Though the menu is well-labeled for vegetarians and the gluten-free, there wasn't a single vegetarian pasta among the seven offered, for example. Though these sound like a lot of criticisms, it was only because the place is so clearly aiming high and offering such good food that the shortcomings are worth pointing out. We weren't disappointed and hope to see it get even better.

Our First Visit and we were thoroughly impressed. The Server Collin was very well versed in the menu. knew all of the items pretty much by heart. The Food was excellent. Collin recommended a cocktail for each of us and they were very well made. The wine was also very good. We will be back.

Staff really helped me out! I had requested seating in the windowed part of the restaurant two weeks ago so that we could see the water, but when I arrived, we were set up near the hostess stand. I asked if we could be set up in the platform space adjacent to the bar, and they were quick to accommodate! We had a great time!

Mozzarella Frite is a delicious starter - hand breaded and served with vodka sauce. Mmmmm. Every entree was fabulous - clams, shrimp arrabiatta, squid ink pasta, and gnocchi- all wonderful!

One of our favorite places in North Beach disappointed this evening. Seated at a nice table to enjoy our anniversary. Server took a while to arrive but the restaurant was busy. ordered a dirty martini with olives that came back so dirty I couldn’t drink it. asked server for another shot of vodka to water it down. She looked at me confused until I said I would pay for it. She only visited the table 2 more times during the meal leaving us sitting there hoping for the check. My pasta dinner had shrimp that were so salty that they ruined a dish that had a lot of flavor. Sat waiting for the server to see if we wanted dessert. Took so long we were happy to ask for the check. Won’t come back soon!

Best dinner ever! My husband and I were in town for my work. Everyone was SO nice! Drinks were delicious! And the food was out of this world! Definitely get the suppli (risotto balls) and focaccia. I’d come back to North Beach first this restaurant!

We had a very nice dinner at Baia. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. There were several wines we were interested in and he brought us a couple tastings to choose from. I prefer to sit in the bar area (has a bit more ambience) but they had a function going on and it was very crowded. I have a gluten intolerance and there were several dishes for me to choose from including gluten free pasta. Very nice experience and look forward to going back again.
