   Didn’t have enough menus for everyone. Drink from bar took 20 minutes. New restaurant just working out kinks? Strawberry shortcake was pound cake… just call it pound cake. Good Luck Philly isn’t very forgiving and there’s a lot of restaurants. Devils Den downgrade.

   We went for brunch on Saturday ,service was great and prompt.Food was AMAZING and drinks are made top tier.

   Had reservations for 7:45 arrived 15 minutes prior. Didn’t get seated until after 8. The menu wasn’t what was seen online. They were running a special valentines day menu. The food was poor. The hanging bacon wasn’t hanging at all. It was actually laying. Entree was the blackened salmon. Salmon dry, and the asparagus was pretty much raw. Was very excited to try this place and left very disappointed

   My wife and I went for Valentine's Day curated menu experience. The location was good with street parking in South Philly. Great ambiance and opportunity for nice pictures. I was a bit disappointed that their signature hanging bacon was not available for purchase, instead the bacon was stripped down and placed on top of the cornbread. Their Waking Bacon cocktail was fantastic! The food and drinks are a bit overpriced for the portion size and took a little long to come out. I would recommend this place for a date night or to grab a night cap after coming from somewhere else.

   Had a great time with fun staff but food was poor and very overpriced. Lots of hype for a big let down food wise. Can skip this one.

   My boyfriend and I went for valentine’s day here since they were last minute plans, and I had high hopes with the 4.9 stars at the time but I’m genuinely dumbfounded at the entire experience. Nowhere on the website was it listed that it was a gift prefixed menu, and for days leading up to this I was really excited to try certain dishes and looking forward to it, but when we arrived we were told it was an $85 per person pre fixed menu and they take no alterations and tip was not included. Again, it was not listed on the website and it was incredibly limited choices with no substitutions We received a smaller portion of their cornbread than their normal portions to share (it was “deconstructed” and we literally got less bacon and less cornbread), our mac and cheese (the first course) came AFTER our main course, the main course listed on the menu was gritz but they were supposedly only doing mashed potatoes, and top add the cherry on top the dessert was only two strawberries for person. I genuinely cannot understand how that little food amounts to $85 not including the tip so with one additional drink our total resulted in $250 since it was auto gratuity. I’m sure they’re good otherwise, but their valentines menu and service was a disorganized mess and they’re overpriced for what you actually get. It also wasn’t even busy since everyone made reservations elsewhere so I don’t understand how you mess up the order of the courses and how you can’t have a regular menu. Save your money and go to the corner store if they tell you it’s a prefixed menu.

   The entire experience was so underwhelming. I’m very mad that this restaurant even came up here as a recommendation. The most marginal below average overpriced experience I’ve had at a restaurant. I could have spent the same at a steak house and had a quality dinner. Poor Valentine’s offer. Maybe they’re ok as a bar or something…also the place is called bake n bacon and we had 1 piece in our desert and the opening shareable had probably 3 pieces split between a couple chunks of cornbread.

   Pineapple juice so sweet, no taste of pineapple. Half of the beach too hard, grit ok. We booked a standard table; the host sent us to a high top. After she talked to a few people, she gave us one. Nevertheless they have many empty tables. I think it’s a management problem. The server was nice but spent very little time with us and didn’t check on us. It’s ok then u get less tips. Omg I also gave her a big tips !!!! My wife checked the bill and 20% tips already applied !! Otherwise I will be given her 45% tips !!! No service for 45% tips !! Not telling the customer of this !! This is not a Michelin star restaurant and we only spent 30 mins there and it’s only 2 of us !! This is not right !

    Nice clean space, parking is terrible. Uber if can. Food was good as expected, waiter Jody was great. The owner/creator/chef “Justin Coleman” was terrible! We had an order of wings we order but didn’t want cause they didn’t look good. We wanted to order up & get the “Hangin Bacon” (which was good) he approached our table telling us we had to pay for the wings anyway (we didn’t eat or touch) trying to school/lecture us on his food cost and food waste. Then scalded us on supporting “Black business” telling us that sending the food back was not supporting black business. It was terrible, demeaning & embarrassing. I’ve never experienced such a thing. I couldn’t believe he had that conversation with us in the middle of his floor while we was patronizing his business!! We had like a $160.00 bill with gratuity included & we tip like $25 in cash on top of it. But because we didn’t want no wings we wasn’t supporting his black business. Then he walked by us after & I heard him say “yall can leave” he was so rude & unprofessional. I told him there & I’ll say it here…me as customer/patron his waste & food cost is irrelevant to me. I’m here to eat, not learn about the restaurant business.
