We are a local community club that provides great quality bistro meals at affordable prices. We are located in the Bakery Hill historic precinct in Ballarat with great customer parking and within easy reach of two major shopping centres in Ballarat.
Our venue has multiple offerings in dining, bar and entertainment areas. The Bistro operates for lunch and dinner 7 days and offers a range of dining options including a light menu (available 7 days) and seniors menu (available Mon-Fri lunch & dinner).
Every Monday & Tuesday from 5.30pm the bistro offers 1 free kids meal* with every main meal (*cond. apply). Kids meals are available 7 days and include ice-cream & an activity pack which helps entertain the kids and give the adults more time to relax.
The Bistro also offers a range of free games for guests to borrow if they're looking to have a bit of fun before or after dining.

Great service, the Risotto was a little more runny than usual, not so much liquid is needed.

The venue had a funny smell to it, and we were the only people there. The soft drinks and alcoholic drinks were flat. The lady mixed up our drinks order and dinner order. My son's schnitzel came out raw, my gnocchi tasted like it had been cooked in dishwashing liquid. It was absolutely disgusting. Never will I go back there ever again. The restaurant needs to either be shut down or a serious recruit in management and in the kitchen.

Excellent service the young men who served us were attentive and even called out to us as we left . Food was very cooked and well presented. Cold water and cold glasses were a lovely treat on a 39 degree day . Well done

Staff were absolutely lovely, but haven’t been for a while because the food is very average and also high priced. The garlic bread came out nearly burnt, and the chicken Parma was also over cooked, dry and the chips were incredibly dry. The salad looked like wilted rabbit food with a huge blob of mayo on top and huge cut tomatoes. Won’t be back again unfortunately.

I have ticked the box to keep this private. We had some vouchers from Ballarat swans netball club to use up. However, the vouchers used, we still had to pay over 100 for a terrible meal, that was extremely disappointing for ours daughter’s birthday dinner. Beans had a smell, they seemed old not fresh, the goodness bowl could not even be eaten, rice old or out of a packet. Seemed like it was food that required to be used up with an added smell. I would like to be reimbursed as we are not coming back. Call Gordon Ramsay

Staff were absolutely amazing, friendly, helpful, I tried the snitzel wrap, have to say not a fan of the relish, left unusual taste but I’m sure many others enjoy it, I will know for next time just to take it off but otherwise, clean, plenty of space, great staff and good vibe if music

Althiough a previous table of 30 put them far behind in the service department, the food was excellent and couldn't be faulted!! Our compliments to the chef, but our commiserations to the poor wait staff who had to go through a harrowing experience of changed minds and rude, noisy bloody-mindedness of customers who let their children run wild in the bistro and couldnt care less about others. People like that should be blown up. So RUDE! BUT, Thank you, Ballarat Leagues Club, for doing your best with what little you had to deal with.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time as an interstate visitor Lachlan was do welcoming . I also work in similar surrounds in my state and was lovely to chat about differences in each state. Staff in gaming room were also very friendly . Meal was delicious and in the words of my daughter I want to come back here next time we are in the town

Dined on a Sunday night. Team was very friendly. Food was just ok. Found the portions a bit small compared to other clubs and not very hot.
