Le BALLO du Mohegan Sun a été inspiré par l'abbaye de San Galgano, abbaye gothique construite au XIIème siècle et située en Toscane. A beautiful setting with professional service and yummy food. Extensive wine list. I especially liked the swordfish special.

Such a delectable restaurant. Our waitress named Michelle was very attentive & friendly. We had the Caesar salad & prawns over spinach. Everything was delicious including the drink! I had the red Sangria with Prosecco. For dessert, we had the flourless chocolate cake and salted caramel ice cream which was a must have if you’re looking for a tasty sweet treat!

Brandon was a very attentive server. The other waitstaff/ bussers were very professional and always made sure our waters were filled and that empty plates were taken. We definitely would come back again!

Overall, we love Ballo! We visit at least once per year for a birthday celebration. Food is always wonderful and the restaurant is beautiful. Disappointing that the complimentary bread service has been discontinued as well as the complimentary cannolis for a birthday. Also, we were seated in the small side room. There were about 12 to 15 people (5 tables of 2-4 ppl) seated in this smaller room and the noise level was extremely loud. Would much prefer to sit out in the regular restaurant area where there’s more room for the noise to be absorbed.

The food was amazing. We started with the bread - the $10 was absolutely worth every penny. We each got the eggplant parmigiana and spaghetti, and shared a side of the fingerling tomatoes (which were SWOON worthy). We finished off with a shared slice of the chocolate torte and gelato. I cannot emphasize enough how good the food was. Honestly exceed my expectations. The service on the other hand was severely lacking. The restaurant was not overly busy when we were there - in fact there was no one around us for a several table radius. When our waiter finally came over to take our drink order and we said that we were just starting with water (because we were still looking at our menus) he huffed and walked away. He took a significantly long time to come back to take our order. I asked about a dish that was cooked with wine, to see if it was possible to have it made without wine and he got SO offended that I asked, and started ranting about the kitchen having a process. I was only curious. Not that it’s any of his business, but I just celebrated 10 years sober and do not like the taste of wine in my food - it’s a personal preference. I was happy to go with my second choice. He mumbled under his breath as he was taking our menus away. He spent the rest of the evening ignoring us or taking way too long to check on us. He would check on us as soon as a plate hit the table and would not come back at all, nor could we find him to flag him down. He dropped our check off before we even started with our desert. The only time he was attentive was when I put my credit card down to pay. I understand, especially in places like casinos, that a large part of revenue comes from alcohol sales which drive up tips. However, I should still get the same level of service as a table who ordered several bottles of wine. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we both felt as if we were being ignored and rushed out. After the rave reviews - I was very disappointed.

I dine here regularly, outstanding food, service and location - but keep in mind it is in a casino, so expect some noise if you sit by the hedges!

We had a pleasant and delicious dinner at Ballo! Had the Broken lasagna and it was delicious. Along with a espresso martini that was also delicious!

Our server Brandon, was absolutely fantastic! Was very attentive and gave great recommendations. Just an awesome server to have, would go back to Ballo and recommend only, Brandon! A very pleasant person, our party was so happy to be acquainted by him! Can’t wait to see him again :)!
