Bar Mezzana is a coastal Italian restaurant by Chef Colin Lynch at Ink Block in Boston’s South End, specializing in crudo and hand-made pasta. Signature dishes like Chicken Under a Brick, Grilled Octopus and Orecchiette with Sausage have become instant classics. Seasonal menu updates incorporate flavors from local farmers and purveyors. The crudo menu changes daily - think Nantucket bay scallops and razor clams along with Japanese and European delicacies like shima aji and lubina. All are expertly prepared with bright touches of citrus, oils and salts.
Reserve in the dining room for a family dinner or date night. Enjoy the bar and lounge for bar snacks and a great burger. A private dining room is available for a business event or intimate party for up to 12. Any night of the week, Bar Mezzana welcomes with a thoughtful wine list, delightful cocktails, delicious food and friendly staff!

    Bar Mezzana's take on a classic Italian Tradition is now a week-long tasting menu! Experience a thoughtfully curated five-course menu featuring seafood, house-made pastas, vibrant entrées, and an indulgent dessert. Don’t miss out on the optional (but highly recommended!) wine pairing. Each course will be complemented by a handpicked selection of unique wines, curated by our own Ryan and Gemma from Giannoni Selections. The menu is available Wednesday, December 18th through Monday, December 23rd in the dining room, bar & lounge alongside our full dinner menu. This menu is available for $115 per person, with an optional $55 per person wine pairing. We ask that the full party participate. *menu & pricing is subject to change

    Aleays wonderful food at Mar Mezzana. The fried artichokes are a great new addition to the menu.

    Food was fantastic. We had fried olives, foccacia, bolognese, and the pork chop and all were wonderful. Drinks were top notch as well. Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

    We have been guests here since opening day. It is the rare place that has been world class since then through now approx 9 years! Never misses. Always a thrillingly perfect dish to be savored! And the staff, oh my, none better! The Held family’s go to south end dinner spot. Always will return for more! Love!

    Excellent meal. The breads and feta spread were excellent and the antipasto salad were fantastic. Had the brick chicken the past dishes also were excellent.

    Excellent food and service. The waiter was knowledgeable on suggestions for an Italian wine . Don’t miss the Brussel sprout salad or octopus- you will not be disappointed. Definitely will be back.

    Excellent food. Great service. Interesting menu. They let me and my friend catch up in peace. No hard sell, no rush, no attitude. Food was great. Would definitely return!

    This is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Boston for dining with Friends or Family. Food is excellent and service was fantastic.
