   Celebrating our anniversary with our 3 sons. We loved all the tapas we ordered and the paella. Very attentive servers making it a great night.

   We have been going to Barcelona tapas for many years whenever we have visited Puerto Vallarta. Over the years, their food quality has deteriorated. They renovated building over the last two years with addition of lift. The top floor has been covered that has increased the noise level to very high level. This time the food was not as expected, as well as service was not good. The waiter was pampering other customer and forgot to pour wine for us. Our going again to this restaurant is doubtful.  We spent US$400 for 4 people (wine bottle was ours and paid Mx$450 for decanting) for dinner. Our expectations were not met!

   Wow wow!! What a fantastic experience. As soon as we arrived off of the elevator we were greeted with a friendly welcome smile. The Margaritas are phenomenal. The service was outstanding as usual. The shrimp bisque was superb. The beets with cream cheese was amazing as were the sizzling garlic shrimp. The shrimp were large fresh and perfect. Chicken skewers were tender snd perfectly seasoned. The banana with chocolate and caramel sauce was the perfect end to a superb meal. This place is a jewel not to be missed.

   Barcelona tapas has been one of our top favorite restaurants in PV. Tonight was just a reassurance. Great food (profiteroles being like a gift of god), amazing service and a beautiful location with outstanding views. Looking forward for a future visit.

   We love this place and have been going there for years. The view is the beat. Service was great. Only retraction was the gazpacho this visit. More cucumbers please. Chicken croquettes and beef skewers were awesome. I am a fan of the patatas bravas. Chocolate lava cake and vanilla ice cream was delicious. I remember always the Basil ice cream.     Open kitchen, good ambience, nice night view. Food is authentic. It is not on the beach. I probably misunderstood the description when I made the reservation. When we first arrived, there were trash piled up on the surrounding streets. We thought we went to the wrong place. But what we did not like the most was our waiter sounded he was following a play book trying to push dishes on us as well as asking for tips towards the end. We ordered more dishes than we needed and a full $45 tips. But all I am saying is that the intentional “asking” takes off the enjoyment of our dinner.
