   I took my wife to Bardea F&D for her 45th birthday and it was an incredible experience. From the moment we walk thru the door and was greeted we knew this place was going to be good. Once we were seated our waiter came and and introduced himself, explained the menu and took our drinks orders. The order in which the food came out was perfect and exactly how it should have been, giving us a chance to enjoy the plates as they came out. The ambience was good, the seating was good and the vibe added to the experience. The food, very creative, smart and tasty. The menu seem very well thought out. Parking was good, we got lucky and found a spot close to the restaurant but parking seem plentiful and close by. Overall a damn good experience, great service and my wife loved it. I would highly recommend Bardea F&D. Will definitely be returning to enjoy some their other unique dishes.

   Had a wonderful experience with attentive staff and great food, wine, beer and scotch. We especially loved the crab taco and scallops for starters and the branzino and broccoli for the main course. The chocolate hazelnut pudding is a must. All very flavorful and wonderfully presented. food.

   Food and service was excellent. And they were able to accommodate my gluten allergy without sacrificing flavor. Only negative is the music is too loud in dining room which made it difficult to talk especially when it became crowded. Keep the music at a low level in dining room and louder in bar area.

   We ordered several tapas from the snacks menu and diver scallops from the small plates menu. Everything was excellent! The veal meatballs were exceptional and the calamari was one of the best we've had. The diver scallops were served with a very flavorful green curry. We had plenty of food for the two of us. Service was swift and well done - everyone working together. Restaurant is quite busy - be ready for a high level of noise.

   I honestly loved this restaurant. What a gem in Wilmington! But the music was way too loud. I know it says food and drink - and there was a bar area - but it was way too loud - like club loud. So it’s not really appropriate for a romantic dinner. But the food was amazing and the service was excellent. Our waitress could not have been better. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was outstanding. All in all - great time great food great service.

    The hostess and the wait staff are always nice and accommodating. The overall experience was good this time, it was better on my first visit. I didn't like neither time to be rushed to order all the dishes at once. the food was overall good, not great. I also wish the servers were more knowledgeable of the dishes as some of the portions can be pretty small and if you're not careful you end up still hungry at the end of the meal. we ordered the affogato for dessert and it was a train wreck, almost no resemblance in look and taste to the original recipe. I am a coffee lover and a bit knowledgeable of coffees, so I speak with propriety here . first of all, the ice cream was not the correct one, they use a homemade ice cream that has a citrus flavor to it, which is not OK for the recipe, the portion was too small. second they use regular coffee and too much of it, the original recipe calls for a shot or two of espresso, not too much of it. They should call it Bardea Affogato so one knows that it is a spin from the original. This place is very pricey so I did not expect to have hiccups on anything as I did both times.  I will try them a third time in the future to see how it goes.
