ñ (pronounced EN-yay) is a lounge and restaurant that serves delicious Argentine food in the Avondale neighborhood of Chicago. The menu includes empanadas (beef, ham and cheese, chicken and spinach), a flavorful, thinly cut flank steak called vacio and oversized sandwiches. In addition to entrees and Argentine tapas, ñ serves a variety of Latin-inspired drinks, including outstanding mojitos.ñ is open late Tuesday through Friday till 2:00 a.m. and Saturday till 3:00 a.m. It offers live music on Tuesday and a DJ four nights a week. Located in a building in the industrial section of North Elston, ñ is unassuming on the outside and provides a lively, vibrant atmosphere on the inside for enjoying an evening with friends or making new ones.

No one had been to this place before. I selected it for a party of 8 folks who had a lot to tell each other. Ambiance was great. Everyone had a great time. Service was excellent, as was the food. Small, but lovely wine selection. I highly recommend this place.

I recently made the trip from Wisconsin to take my girlfriend out for a special date, and the experience exceeded expectations. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding, and the music created the perfect ambiance. Following our server’s recommendation, we ordered mixed drinks, which were absolutely delightful. Overall, it was a fantastic evening—10/10. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Waiter asked right away if cash or credit. We said credit and asked why. He said they don't get tipped out at end of night. From there on out service sucked.

Had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday at the Barre N. Food was delicious and the person who greeted us and made my birthday a bit more special was darling. ( I don’t catch his name. Our server was very attentive and I highly recommend the skirt steak with the chimichurri. I came up from Milwaukee and we all really made some memories!

Food very bland. I had the empanadas and the crust was good but it seems like they used canned vegetables to fill the inside of them. Wasn’t as good as I expected in terms of ambiance, food and liveliness. I tried it but won’t be back.

The food was so good. I would rather have sat in the back because of the noise level at the bar but it was still ok and very good!!

Honestly the ceviche and the skirt steak was some of the best I’ve had. It brought me back to Argentina. I truly enjoyed the ambiance but the food was my favorite. I will be back here 10000%

Waitress forgot to bring one of our appetizers but the rest of the food was great and plentiful, it's probably for the best.
