Basta Pasta has easily become a family favorite. Food is consistently great and the menu has something for everyone. Also not to mention the staff is amazing.

The crab cakes and the the service were both top notch, as usual. You can't beat the two crab cake special on Tuesdays. If you haven't gone to Basta Pasta before, go and see what a treat their crab cakes are.

Last minute decision for dinner and Open Table showed a High Top in the bar for 5:30pm and it was 5:15 so we jumped on it. Chick-Parm for me and the Sous Vide short rib for my wife. 3 large chicken breasts in my dinner, brought 2 home. Once again, Basta comes thru with a great dinner.

Everything was great, except for check-in. We let the hostess know we were there, gave her our name and time of reservation. She asked us to wait a moment. As we were waiting, she sat people who came in after us. After about 10 minutes, we inquired as to why we weren’t being seated. It turns out she never did check us in. They apologized and sat us right away. The rest of the evening was wonderful.

The food and service were exceptional. My wife and I had Seafood Bake and Seafood Pasta Alfredo. The food was outstanding BUT, the servings were so large that we took home enough food for the entire next day. Which leads me to my purpose. Everyone is feeling the financial crunch. Why not make the entres smaller aka a meal for one and reduce the price? Our appetizer, Crab Toast, was $34.00. It did have 4 pieces but we couldn't eat it all. We had 2 LARGE rolls each that we couldn't eat. Our 2 meals without appetizers or drinks was $80.00. And, I know the answer to my next dilemna : don't drink alcohol! It was New Years' Eve and we had 4 drinks between us totaling $55.00. Again, the food was great, the drinks were good, and our server, Haley, was wonderful. It just started the New Year off with a rather LARGE expense and waaaay too much food! . Hope this helps and Happy New Year to all!!!!!!!!!!!!
