Very accommodating for a party of 14. One of the few venues that didn't require us to have a set menu with a price of at least $60 per person for a larger number of guests. Food was great.

The kingfisher and green beans were amazing. The setting, atmosphere and buzz feels good. It’s just a shame the service was lacking. They were helpful at the beginning with food choices but then it felt like we never seen them again. For the price point, I think the service needs to be up a level or 2.. There was quite a gap between our starter and main. Overall it was an average experience. Not what I was hoping for.

Overpriced pasta was undercooked. It was inedible. Server didn’t return to table to offer properly cooked dish. Cashier didn’t seem to care when we left. We won’t be returning.

We had visited Basta before on a week night and had a wonderful time. The place had a wonderful atmosphere and the food was great, so returned with visiting family to let them experience the fabulous Basta pizzas. Unfortunately it was a bit of a disaster. Extremely noisy with music way too loud to have conversation, we waited almost an hour for food. We had our sides of potatoes delivered first and waited 15 more minutes for our pizzas and salad. When it arrived our Margherita literally had 3 small pieces of bocconcini and the crust was burnt. The staff were apologetic, but that doesn’t really help a spoiled meal out with visitors. Not a patch on our first visit, but with so many other eateries in Wollongong, sadly means we won’t likely be back.

Food was good, unfortunately we had pretty much finished our meals by the time our drinks came out. This was after asking for them several times and they were not complex, a beer and a simple mocktail. Overall an average experience. However, the staff were apologetic and removed the drinks from the bill.

Very poor service. We had a drink spilt all over us, and then they forgot our main meals. We were seated right up the back with no ambience or vibe and were totally forgotten about—constantly asking where our wine was and when our food was coming!!

I’ve been here three times in a fortnight and just love it. The gnocchi is to die for and all the food is so great for sharing.

The service was great, very friendly, help with good decisions with the menu. Enjoyed everything alitlle over priced, but the food was good.
