Bata is a restaurant designed to celebrate the best our region has to offer. We cook over a live oak fire, on our custom fabricated hearth. Our menu changes daily. We mill AZ grown grain in house, daily. We focus on whole animal butchery, done in house. We have an extensive fermentation program. Our bar program largely focuses on wines that are organic, biodynamic, and produced with minimal intervention. The cocktail list highlights the best products of the season, with a carefully curated list of spirits from across the globe. We believe that our hospitality is just as important as the food and beverages we put on the table.

We do not encourage our restaurant for young children. We do not have any highchairs in house and ask that you please bring your own if it is required.

We do not offer any outdoor seating. Private dining, kitchen counter and large party seating available. Email hello@batatucson.com for inquiries.

It was our second time dining at Bota, our first experience was a solid 5 stars. Last evening was a little disappointing as one dish was cold when it should have been hot, the vegetable dish was yummy especially the sauce but impossible to cut the watermelon radish. Our server was great but seemed to have many tables to attend too. Overall, an enjoyable night but not quite the 5 stars.

Over everything over seasoned . Over cooked. Service slow. Over tipped. The mandatory twenty percent was applied for groups 5 or more. Parking non existent

The dinner was beautiful and mostly delicious. A couple of dishes came out colder than intended due to the fact that the wait staff didn’t bring them out on time.

We had the tasting menu and honestly regretted it. There were more misses than hits. Our waiter was great but the supporting staff really struggled. Either not knowing how to describe the dish or shaking so much that a lot of my drink was left on the table and their tray. I doubt I’ll ever come back and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. There’s so many other great dining options in Tucson.

Incredible food and exceptional service. We had a wonderful meal and experience. Tasted things I’ve never tasted in combination before. Everything was fresh and beautifully prepared with so much respect for the ingredients.

Bata is one of, if not THE BEST restaurants in Tucson! This is our go to for special events, date night and visiting guests. The only thing we don't like is that the menu changes...we fall in love with something and then its gone...but its worth it for the few moments of bliss when devouring it! Its not as noisy as you'd expect. The service is fantastic. The drinks are unique and fun. The food is amazing. They treat non-meat/seafood items with the respect they deserve. You get full before you want to because you want to eat it all! And the desserts are heavenly!!!

Great overall experience. We got the dinner for chef recommendations since my husband and I are not picky eaters. It was a great experience, and we definitely ate more veggies than we would typically order, but each was flavorful. The beans that came with our braised beef was a bit undercooked, which I’m not sure if was intentional or not. The desert was fantastic and so was the nice gesture of an additional “happy birthday” plate. ❤️
