Nestled on the border of Downtown and Fairfield, Bear & Joey is a neighbourhood meeting hub on Cook Street, Victoria B.C.
Our aim was to create a vibrant & spacious backdrop for people of all walks of life to gather, socialize, and enjoy wholesome food.
Morning coffee, brunch or drinks, this is our interpretation of Sydney’s café culture, by combining elevated ambiance, an interesting food & drink programme and above all, true hospitality.
We are so happy to call Victoria home, and privileged to be apart of your rich culinary community.

We have always enjoyed eating and spending time at Bear & Joey. We are surprised and sad that they will be closing their doors tomorrow! 😉 All the best to the owners…

As always the service was excellent! The drinks were delicious, and the food was good. I will definitely be returning.

The effort to accommodate our reservation was excellent. Our group of 9 enjoyed all aspects of the experience.

, "are oIt would be nice if whoever comes to the front to seat us treats us as if we possibly had used Open Table. If they actually looked they'd see a booking for 10 o'clock and could say "Are you so and so?" "I see you would like such and such a seating arrangement." Instead of which the menus are put haphazardy, and I see no point in using Open Table.

I called to explain we were running late and asked if the table could be held. I was told on the phone and need delay would cut into my reservation time which I agreed to. Upon arrival I was sternly reminded of this we finished well ahead of the end of our reservation window and left a near empty restaurant.

Great good, decor, good value for money. Service could be more elegant in how they address guests. Been several times and although they get the job done, they lack grace. Kinda rote service TBH. Ownership is very good and incredible hosts and could teach the staff how to interact. It’s free to teach grace & elegance. The owners have it.
